Kaya Shirao was born in 1738 in Fukagawa, Edo, now part of Tokyo.

He ran a school in Edo during Spring and Autumn, but in Summer and Winter, he would move to the countryside to teach thousands of aspiring poets from throughout the Shinano province (now Nagano Prefecture). He's considered one of the first established haikai writers to help spread cultural forms from national to regional urban centers.

Description:
My human voice into the Soma Pipe, some percussive modes, Filtera Mode and the Generator Mode -- what could go wrong? The Pipe Generator mode does take some taming before it goes into total chaos, but then again sometimes a touch of chaos is just what is needed. These sounds were then fed into the Soma Cosmos  (in the Rhythmic firmware mode), this time the number 8 1/6 mode, twanging the Blur, Drift and Drive knobs. This was all recorded in my Granie granular synthesiser for further audio mangling and weird stuff and some brief wild trips into feed back loops. This was all after watching some YouTube videos from Walker Farrell from the MakeNoise team -- can you tell? Evolving sound scapes, ebbing white noise, to roaring rumbles and pending chaos, to total chaos. This was then fed back into Ableton Live for final mastering, adding some low pass filter modulations. The cover art comes from an industrial meat grinder exit pipe.

I love listening to & creating ambient, dark ambient, avant-garde & experimental electronica (and the occasional beatscape). I have no professional aspirations  - I just really like creating music / manipulating sounds. It's my way of relaxing after a hard day at the office. All my tracks are produced using monitoring headphones (Audix A140) so I recommend that you listen to my music through headphones. My DAW of choice is FL Studio. I also use Reason every now & then. 


To the artists I follow; I do my best to try to listen to as many of your tracks as possible each night (I listen to each track all the way through - you went through the effort to create a track so you deserve to have it heard in full). If I miss a recent upload of yours, please forgive me...
