The train struck with a thunderous crash — the sound of an ending, tearing through the air — and yet… there was no pain. There was only… after.  He opened his eyes. He stood on the same road, at the same crossing. The train had vanished, though the tracks beneath his feet still trembled. Disoriented, he looked around — everything appeared familiar, yet altered: the colors slightly faded, the air unnaturally still. Cars passed him by, but no one noticed. No honking, no shouting. He was transparent.  At home, his place at the table remained empty. His phone screen — blank. No messages, no missed calls. He followed rumors of his own death on a local news site: “Tragic accident at the railway crossing, victim yet to be identified.”  But he was alive, wasn’t he? He could feel the chill of metal, smell the linden tree outside the window. He remembered everything. And yet the world, as if unconvinced, continued on — without him...

Another snippet from Califo Paean, this time featuring bass guitar fighting for its life amongst the reverb. 

Caligo Paean is a 1 hour long sound piece installed on river front property in the town of Franklin, Tasmania as part of the exhibition "When The Fog Clears". It formed part of the Ten Days on The Island Festival March 2025.
The work was installed in several locations across the property including a stack of subs under an old bus, in the main exhibition space and in an abandoned shed some 40 metres from the main area . The speakers were 'tuned' quite differently depending on their location and the sound was not delay corrected with the result of each mini-installation merging with each other in odd sonic ways - kind of calling the listener from one spot to another. The the work features field recordings, percussion, piano, bass guitar and Intonarumori as well as this special one off choir : )

Caligo is the Ancient goddess of Chaos. Born of the fog she controls the darkness, dwells in the void and is as old as the primordial matter that created the universe. This work is a tribute to the goddess as she continues to influence our lives and, in the case of this installation, the site and concept informing the show.

Every day, the mists of the Huon Valley perform a seductive dance, gently obscuring and revealing contours of the fertile land and waters. Situated in The Watershed Franklin, When The Fog Clears features six artists from lutruwita / Tasmania exploring the region’s iconic mists through a variety of mediums including installation, sculpture, illustration, sound, and video.

Developed exclusively for Franklin, this exhibit extends from the waterfront itself into the chambers, kilns, and rafters of the shed, inviting visitors to consider fog as an atmosphere that can cloak us in unexpected ways.

Tu veux m’écrire une lettre,
je suis venue pour ça,
s'il l’vin tourne la tête,
je crois qu'il m'aidera.

Pour essuyer le fard
qui coule de mes yeux,
je me sers du buvard,
mais je n'y vois pas mieux.
Tu n’as pas écrit une
seule ligne, tu vois,
vu que le porte-plume
se refuse à mes doigts.

J'ai bien peur que la page
ne reste toute blanche
autant que ton visage
qui pleure sur tes manches.
Mais il faut qu'elle s'en aille

I love listening to & creating ambient, dark ambient, avant-garde & experimental electronica (and the occasional beatscape). I have no professional aspirations  - I just really like creating music / manipulating sounds. It's my way of relaxing after a hard day at the office. All my tracks are produced using monitoring headphones (Audix A140) so I recommend that you listen to my music through headphones. My DAW of choice is FL Studio. I also use Reason every now & then. 


To the artists I follow; I do my best to try to listen to as many of your tracks as possible each night (I listen to each track all the way through - you went through the effort to create a track so you deserve to have it heard in full). If I miss a recent upload of yours, please forgive me...
