Mike Benoit is a wonderful sound artist who reached out to me this year with the idea of taking some raw improv piano playing and reworking them to produce original tracks. This appealed to me because 1 - I ain't the greatest piano player so this was flattering and 2 - I spend so much of my time reworking other peoples sounds it would be awesome to be on the receiving end for a change : ) .The album features 4 tracks, each one originally recorded on a different piano then given the treatments by Mike.

“Veil of Stars” unfolds as an expansive, shimmering soundscape built entirely from layered synthesizers. Soft, pulsating drones create a bed of cosmic stillness while glittering, bell-like tones drift across the stereo field like fragments of stardust. Subtle arpeggiated patterns emerge and recede, evoking the sensation of navigating an endless night sky. The piece balances serenity with mystery, hovering between wonder and quiet unease—perfect for scenes of dreamlike exploration, distant worlds, or moments where characters confront the vast unknown.

I love listening to & creating ambient, dark ambient, avant-garde & experimental electronica (and the occasional beatscape). I have no professional aspirations  - I just really like creating music / manipulating sounds. It's my way of relaxing after a hard day at the office. All my tracks are produced using monitoring headphones (Audix A140) so I recommend that you listen to my music through headphones. My DAW of choice is FL Studio. I also use Reason every now & then. 


To the artists I follow; I do my best to try to listen to as many of your tracks as possible each night (I listen to each track all the way through - you went through the effort to create a track so you deserve to have it heard in full). If I miss a recent upload of yours, please forgive me...
