A new set from the ‘Before The Curfew’ series is up on SoundCloud. This set was played by Kadiristy on the 23rd of July at Backyard. 

Kadiristy is a Kyiv-based dj and producer, Gasolin Radio resident and one of the founders of the Regular Disco formation and event series focusing on uplifting music in disco, italo and house directions.

The series is updated on a weekly basis with recordings of sets that have been played in our space since the beginning of the russian full-scale invasion of Ukraine. Tune in and don't forget to support the Ukrainian army, volunteer organizations and funds, including the ∄ community fund which continues to support volunteer initiatives from representatives of our community.

Schrödinger’s Box welcome Catalonia’s Adrian Marth into the fold. The Iberian artist has been drawing crowds and turning heads with his analogue inspired productions and dancefloor inhibitions. This five tracker sees the Italo Moderni founder explore the glittering angles and brooding shadows of his machines. The punishing percussion and beaming laser lights of “Labyrinth Mind” give way to the tumbling drums and racing synthlines of the addictive “Sex Tonight.” The flip opens with the sleazy grandeur of “Beverly Hills”, looming melodies and retro flourishes combine in this operatic ode to the 1980s. Speaking of the 80s, the inspiration for the penultimate comes from a figure who symbolised the bombastic bravado of the era. “Divine on the Late Show 88” is a tribute to the Pink Flamingos legend, beats sparkle as her sequenced dresses and larger-than-life attitude screams into the present. Kovyazin D (Dmitry Kovyazin) is one of the most recognizable electronic artists. He is a current resident of System 108 community and is mostly well-known for his releases on M>O>S, Craigie Knowes, Eidetic (Brokntoys) and so on.

In his music, live acts and dj sets Dmitry balances between the different periods of 'synth' music, artfully mixing the warm sound of analog instruments with cold melodies and noises, operating with the combination of Acid House, Italo Disco, New-Beat, EBM and Electro.

@sexxxstasy is an artist and a bright representative of the electronic scene in Russia, whose style is immediately remembered.

Without limiting himself to musical geography, he creates a quintessence of late 80s European sound, indie, trance, nu-beat and Chicago house.

Sexstasy is also a resident of @popoffkitchen a queer night from Moscow who's leading the electronic scene.

Rawmantique013 - Séxstasy

∄ is a cultural institution in Kyiv, established in 2019 on the territory of a former brewery, located at 41 Kyrylivska Street. It serves as a multifunctional space for club events like ∄ Community Events, Curated By, Enareї, for experimental music concerts like Miasma of the Real and other cultural events.

∄ also manages the in-house music label Standard Deviation. Established in September 2020, Standard Deviation is a multidisciplinary label for music, art and publishing, cultivating creative exchange between an aspiring Ukrainian scene and a global community.

K41 is the community-born name of the institution embraced and widely used by the public.
