The new set from the Before The Curfew series features Recid B2B Roman K at Backyard on the 30th of September 2023, is now available on our SoundCloud. 

The cover photo is one of the last shots taken by Roman K on the southern coast of Crimea after the annexation. That day, there was a storm at sea, which symbolically represented the pain, fear, and protest against the events of 2014.

This set marks the first time these two friends have reunited behind the decks, having been away from their hometown and loved ones for a long time. They always have a lot to talk about without using words.

Before the Curfew is a series of music podcasts that emerged in 2022 after the reopening of the club following the liberation of Kyiv. All recordings presented in this series take place before midnight, before the curfew begins. Before the Curfew offers a vibrant snapshot of the Ukrainian music scene amidst challenging times, celebrating resilience, creativity, and unity through music.

Roma Nemov curates a radio show 'Manipulations', in which the guests speak up / soundtrack their attitudes to and views on manipulation. He has also a monthly show 'Jamais Entendu' on Lyl Radio, focusing on his preference for the unusual and unheard. He works as a stylist and visual merchandiser, combining clothes and finding harmony. He has a passion for modernist architecture, last year fulfilling a dream, when he spent a night at Le Corbusier's Unité d'habitation.

He feels like there's one big room where you meet people similar to you. Talk or be silent. Exchange. Seek out these people around the world and invite them into the room. He's afraid of heights, when he lived on the 23rd floor, he never looked out the window. He studied film directing for five years, just because he loves Antonioni too much and romanticized the profession. For some reason he always draws vases on different pieces of paper, when he has more time, flowers appear in these vases.

Roma's mix covers a lot of different sentiments and sceneries, it's emo(tional) and electric. Few times switching from half- to double-time, often changing dramatically, because one never knows what will occur next…

K41 is the community-born name of the institution embraced and widely used by the public.
