I live in the " Real World " !

I've been hearing so much AI music on SoundCloud lately that instead of jumping on the AI bandwagon, it's pushing me in the other direction where I want to do more songs with just me and my guitar.  
This is a live version that I played straight through from start to finish which I am using as an audition song for the Tucson Folk Festival.

Over the year’s there’ve been sightings like Bigfoot and UFO’s.
Of Elvis shopping at Walmart dressed in ordinary clothes.
They say it’s good to be king – but sometimes maybe it’s not.
When you’re coasting on your past glory and now, you’re lukewarm instead of hot.
If Elvis was still alive, he’d be approaching the century mark.
He’d be a tired old hound dog - would he still be able to bark.
If he put on a pair of blue suede shoes and he tried to shake his hips.
And he strummed his guitar on a street corner would people give him any tips.

There’s day’s when you feel like you’re trapped in a routine 
And you’re going through the motions, and you want to start fresh and clean.
Somewhere between 1968 and 1977 Elvis took a detour and he ended up in Heaven.
It’s nice to imagine that maybe he was sick of sick and tired of all that fame.
And one day he just decided to retire from playing the game.
If he sang that song love me tender, would it till make the young women swoon.
Or would they stare at him with curiosity like at the zoo when you see a baboon.
If he put on the black leather costume that he wore in 1968 
And he played the same set list would people still think he was so great?

Leur amour renaît, culminant en un mariage sous un chêne de leur enfance.

Un nouveau départ

91_Autumn - released on 18 November 2025

I stayed in Germany for my last holiday. I went to the Szczecin Lagoon. It was wonderful to enjoy autumn there by the water and in the forest. I had mostly really good weather and was able to slow down and relax.
And every morning I passed this beautifully coloured rhododendron bush (see cover pic) and was immediately inspired to turn it into a track that pays homage to the autumn I have grown to love. Here it is. I hope you enjoy it!

This song began by Gaz composing it and on his acoustic guitar, and singing his original lyrics over it. Gaz is a brilliant songwriter, lyricist, and singer, with whom we've worked before. However, this is the first song he's shared with us. He gave it to Ken first, who started the project and invited the rest of us to it.
  Ken, who was the originator of the project, was actually the second person to lay down a part, which he did to Josh's bass, instead of the other way around, as they usually do it. Stephen then came in and replaced Gaz's guitar with his silky smooth acoustic guitar. JJ got down on his magical piano and organ parts not long after Stephen added his guitar. 
  This was a somewhat uncomplicated process, as Gaz gave us a fully realized song to work with right from the start. Tez sealed the deal with his expert production to cap it off, too.
  As mentioned, this is our second song starring Gaz, and we're very grateful to him for sharing his magic with us. We're all looking forward to working together again in the future, too. We hope you enjoy listening to this as much as we enjoyed creating it.

Dès que j'ai entendu le morceau piano solo de pianofran ( morceau que vous pouvez entendre  sur sa page SC) , j'ai eu envie de composer un texte  pour lui, accompagné d'un petit arrangement, comme un résonance intérieure mettant en relief l'extrême sensibilité de ce morceau. J'espère ainsi que, même accompagnés de quelques mots et d'un léger arrangement, la sensibilité et l'intelligence de sa composition et de son jeu de piano (qui caractérisent toute la musique de Pianofran, vraiment à découvrir si ce n'est pas déjà le cas)) soient mises en valeur. Merci mille fois, Francess, d'avoir accepté cette collaboration, Thank's for the gift!!!
