Slime Recordings welcomes Pledge back to the label after his previous release ‘Waiting’ entranced fans of deep dance music. Fresh from a prolonged spell in the lab cooking up some new beats, he returns with his new single ‘Alright’, following a similar template of melodic flair.

‘Alright’ slowly moves into focus out of a mist of hazy atmospherics and submerged vocals before a bubbling percussion loop adds momentum to the track. Mournful chords and sweeping melodies sparkle across the surface whilst the bassline expands across playful keys.

On the digital flip, fellow label mate Akin re-constructs the original into a sparse meditation, with spacious chords harnessed on the back of a narcotic half-step rhythm. Australian producer DYP offers up an altogether more up-tempo take on the original, with a tropical house flavour full of bumpy four to the floor action and soft keys.

Slime welcomes back to the label Russian producer Colorhythm. Establishing his signature sound on last year’s release ‘Azure’, here he returns with another set of tracks that defy genre parameters. Extrapolating the heavyweight framework of dubstep and mixing in the best elements of garage, house along with a dash of R&B, the results are always smooth but never saccharine. 

‘Sweetheart’ rolls in on soft chords and a narcotic house beat before soaring into the stratosphere with a diva vocal and cascading melodies, washing over your senses like a warm ray of sunshine. 

‘Voyage’ takes a step back on the tempo from the former, with an atmospheric opening before the autonomic beat unfolds over soulful keys, sultry vocals and shimmering chords. 

On the remix tip, it’s a family affair with labelmates BSN Posse and DYP on the buttons. The Spanish production duo take the lead track and mutates it into a snaking, dub-infused monster full of snapping percussion and melodic flourishes. Meanwhile, the Australian producer flips it into a sparkling house gem, bringing the soulful vocal to the fore and laying it over a lush, swinging beat.

“Mountain” is his first solo-album containing 18 tracks influenced through the experiences of more than 17 years of working with electronic dance music. You can find Andreas behind the scenes since the mid 90’s as a producer, label owner, mastering-engineer and of course as a DJ. Even if he is born, raised and still living in Berlin the tracks are not colored by the typical Berlin minimal & house sound. 
Acute modeling and oscillating synthesizers are sneaking across the album from track to track, shaping a homogeneous line although different genres are abounding.  
Deep and dynamic bass lines in combination with expressive groove programming and self-played percussion, gives the entire album a vigorous touch.
These final works are the result of 1,5 years producing, deleting, rearranging, live testing, hating and loving a huge amount of tracks he did within the context of the creation process.
The release is just in time for the 10th year anniversary of his record label “Voltage Musique” and a big milestone in his career as well.
