Star Creature Vibes Radio back again with a tuned up dosage. Went into the crates desperately seeking some spaced out audio escapism. Here in Chicago everything is moving in slow motion this time of year, so hard to tell what tempos even mean anymore. The days are dark and cold, but the vibes don’t have to be. Got into some zones a bit outside of the previous episodes orbits, a healthy mix of some new age astro folk, galactic gothic-type sea-side wizard in a forest funk. There’s been too many roofs in between my head and the stars and so had to let the music be my convertible.  Doesn’t matter what the speed limit is, we won’ t be coming close to it today.

First show of technically “Summer” here in Chicago. This one is slightly more uptempo than my usual OpenLab probably inspired by this past month’s trips to Detroit for the Movement Festival and week in NYC for some release events and general vibe soaks. Was most inspired by the Hidden Sphere’s Improvisation track so just went in with a grip of new tracks, a few classics and personal faves and see what came out.

Another month, another shot at unleashing some excellent tunes that are dying for a rinse on the Openlab airwaves. Another mixed mag across some soul and disco with a grip of house and a couple edits for good measure.  I’m kicking things off with my friend Eugene Tambourine’s North Satellite followed by a couple jams that have been heavy in rotation this summer.  The mid part get into some tracks I’ve really been loving from Biggabush, BowAsWell and Vanessa Worm. I close this episode with a banger of a track from Maraschino and a cut off the latest Star Creature & Global Caress 12” with Byron The Aquarius.

Brian K. Morgan is a prolific and seasoned musician from Englewood, New Jersey. His sound is timeless; reflective of the 80’s era during which he flourished and undeniable today.
