Toranj is a sonic pilgrimage through the mystical landscape of Persian spiritual poetry—a journey into longing, surrender, and the luminous secret at the heart of existence. Named after the celestial “citron” that symbolizes a beauty too vast for the world to contain, the album invites listeners into an intimate dialogue between the seeker and the Beloved.

Each track unfolds like a verse: wandering as a stranger from a familiar city, standing humbled at the threshold of divine light, singing from the garden of poverty, and dissolving into the radiance of the sun. The music blends ancient Sufi motifs with modern atmospheric soundscapes, weaving voices, textures, and rhythms into meditations on ego, love, and transcendence.

Toranj explores the beauty of bewilderment—the restless, wind-swept state of the lover who repents from piety, seeks freedom in intoxication, and plays with the sun like a particle lost in light. It is the sound of a soul too vast for the world, reaching toward a truth just beyond human grasp.

A spiritual, poetic, and deeply emotional experience, Toranj is for those who wander, question, and yearn for the secret beauty behind all things.

He asked, “From where have you come, that you appear so unsettled?”
I said, “I am a wanderer… from the city of once-known things.”

He asked, “What do you seek, that you know nothing of the Hidden?”
I said, “At your threshold, I place my humbled head.”

He asked, “What bird are you, to sing from such a realm?”
I said, “A gentle voice… from the garden of those who have let go.”

He said, “Slip free of the cage of being — let ecstasy take you, and you shall be released.”
I said, “In the cup of longing, I sought escape from the self.”

He said, “What value has the one who clings to vows and renunciations?”
I said, “I have turned away… from the pride of purity.”

He asked, “And how do you see us, in the craft of capturing hearts?”
I said, “As a field of roses… in the gathering of enchantment.”

He said, “I am that toranj whose radiance cannot be contained by the world.”
I said, “Greater than the toranj indeed — yet forever beyond reach.”

He asked, “Why, like a mote, do you dance with Kindness in the play of Love?”
I said, “Because I am a wayfarer — swept by winds of yearning.”

He asked, “Tell me then, what do you see in our eyes?”
I said, “The tale of the enraptured —
a divine mystery whispered through creation.”

شب که می‌شه غم منو داغون می‌کُنه

می‌گن درختِ غمگینی تو بیشه
گُل می‌کُنه فصل بهار همیشه
پرستوها نوک می‌زنن به شیشه
می‌گن با یک گُل که بهار نمی‌شه

یه وختی بود دل که می‌خواس، بهار می‌شد
شب‌های تهرون، پُر عطر یار می‌شد
ماه‌پیشونی رو پُشت‌بوم پرسه می‌زد
خورشید خانوم حرف‌های سربسته می‌زد

اما حالا دنیا پُر از دشمنی‌یه
اونچه که نیست یه قلب دوست داشتنی‌یه
پنج دریا مثِ ستاره کم شدن
سُرمه‌دونا پُر از غُبار غم شدن
