“Anemochory”, from the botanical term for wind-borne seed dispersal, forms the fourth Item of “Tome of Stars” and serves as a metaphor for the poet’s most desolate phase. It consists of fifteen sonnets of emotional scattering, spiritual disorientation, and theological anguish.

“Axios-Anaxios Redux” explores a volatile intersection of idealized love, disillusionment, and enduring psychological damage. The poem opens by contrasting the awe once felt for the beloved with the corrosive reality of her later rejection. It suggests that the relationship was fueled less by mutual affection than by the poet’s worshipful adoration, which, when it diminished under emotional and circumstantial strain, revealed an underlying egocentrism in the beloved. The poem also implicates this turn in reigniting the speaker’s buried traumas, with the beloved’s final rejection resonating as deep existential condemnation. This is not just heartbreak, but it is the annihilation of worth at the hands of one once held sublime.

Acidic truths burn memories that fail:
The love you shined warped to antipathy.

You craved the worship spilling from my soul,
That marveled at your glory and your grace.
But when I failed to properly extol,
Contempt carved grooves into your chang’ling face.

Your thunderclap transform wreaked agony,
As malice swelled old voices of my shame.
Fiends branded me with horrored harmony,
Condemned unworthy, outcast ever-named.

For in your scorn, I’m broken endlessly;
My Stargirl hated, hates, and shall hate me.
