Formed in Auckland in the 90s by club owner and band leader Ozzy Retzlaf, Le La Oso burst onto the Samoan music scene with popular covers and original compositions. Fronted by the iconic To'oala Eteru, whose distinct vocals became the band's hallmark, they ushered in a new era of Samoan music. 

Their fusion of drum machines, keyboards, and guitars set a precedent still embraced by many Samoan bands today. Le La Oso's influence continues to inspire generations of Samoan musicians.

Sons of Zion have well and truly earned their place in the upper echelons of New Zealand music.   For members Rio, Sam, Joel, Matt, Ross, and Caleb, it’s a track record that has established them as one the southern hemisphere’s most-loved and well-respected bands, consistently playing to sold out shows and at the biggest festivals across Australia, New Zealand and the United States.
