SKD is a Latvian producer, DJ and promoter, operating mainly in areas of post-industrial, technoid and experimental electronic music. He’s involved in STURM label and events, runs Construct / Destruct series along other occasional happenings and co-productions, and since 2010 hosts Absolūtais Minors radio show on Radio NABA, dedicated to local undergroundelectronics.
His music has been published on labels like Metaphysik, Monolith Records,Furanum, Ohm Resistance and Gegen Records among others, and since the late 2000’s he’s been regularly performing as a DJ and live - solo or in bands.

Bulgarian dark mastermind 𝐌𝐀𝐍𝐀𝐒𝐘𝐭（Petar Tassev) has been rocking his own brand of Nurolektro since 2003. He’s responsible for a vast array of menacing titles on labels such as Bunker, Touchin' Bass, Kommando 6, Musar and about 40 other labels worldwide. An artist that couldn’t care less about trends nor hypes, and whose main driving force is that authentic passion for the genre. Some of his tunes resemble a future horror movie soundtrack, others a visit to a mental clinic but most sound like what exactly hostile aliens would listen to while attacking Earth. In the uninspiring corners of open-space offices, and administrative work, some employees find a space for resistance and creativity through subversion and sabotage, against the anger generated by the neutral and cruel absurdity of the corporate environment.

In this compilation, Nice Guise engages with transpersonal subjects such as mental health, work place abuse and sexuality. For the past two years, while touring through Brussels with their abrupt live performance, Nice Guise has been fostering collective experiences where repressed personal emotions get to be shared on the dancefloor.

Nice Guise crystallizes their ongoing activity with the collection Candid shots. Like an aggregate in the orbs of the post-punk movement and the remnants of the Dada avant-garde, the band presents studio sessions, concert recordings, and sonic residues on the same level, thus making poor material their inspiration.

“Owelle": frenchified word derived from the English expression “Oh well”. Repurposed by Valérie Siron as her pseudonym to reflect her work ethos: serious, but without making a fuss.

Surfacing from Geneva’s club culture with a graphic design background, Owelle’s drive to synergise the audio and the visual power her expression of creative identity. Her compositions are imagined and built without boundaries, albeit replete with nods to previous genres ranging from early 2000s breakbeat, braindance and broken beat techno.

Intrigued by sensory immersion, Owelle further laces her art with interactive tools including programming, sound spatialisation and installation. Diving into a spatiotemporal journey, subtly incorporating their uses into her musical works. By blending her passion for diligent sound designing, field recordings and psychedelic vocals is how Owelle presents her approach to experimental music. Owelle’s creativity offers an intrinsic connection of her tailored rhythms and melodies to birth an original hybrid of sound and visual art. 

The music within this record questions the importance of sound in relation to the individual’s environment. To blur the border between noise and aesthetically pleasing. To ride the waves between discomfort and delight and to find the potentially hidden role of situational awareness and relating it to musical endeavours derived from the emotions within.

Saturday at the Shopping Mall Soundscapes is a sound exploration of one of the most inconspicuous yet acoustically rich environments – the underground parking lot of a large shopping mall in Varna, Bulgaria. The album features binaural and stereo recordings shot in real-world settings, recreating the cold concrete spaces, echoing footsteps, frequency resonances of cars and the pulsating sound of ventilation.

The second part of the album takes the listener into the inner atmosphere of the shopping mall itself – a mix of human voices, escalators, soft background noise from shops and the natural reverberation of large spaces.

The binaural technique creates a realistic 3D environment, suitable for listening with headphones, relaxation, ASMR, audio archiving, sound design or inspiration for cinema and games.
