David Cordero is an artist based in San Fernando, Cádiz, on the southern coast of Spain. His work has appeared on many of the Ambient scene’s favourite labels including Home Normal, Dronarivm, Archives, Polar Seas, and Past Inside The Present, among others. He also released ‘Restless Nature’ on Whitelabrecs back in 2024. Having made music since his teens, David began releasing solo material in 2016 after years spent performing as part of a Post Rock band. His music draws inspiration from Ambient pioneers such as Brian Eno and Steve Roach, as well as the Japanese school of minimalism led by the likes of Satoshi Ashikawa and Hiroshi Yoshimura. Nature and everyday life play a central role in his compositions, which are crafted through long hours of experimentation in his home studio. A curator of Ambient and experimental music events in Spain, David remains deeply engaged in fostering the scene while continuing to explore new sonic ideas.

Anthéne is the project of Toronto-based musician Brad Deschamps, who has been releasing music since 2015. Known for his hushed, melodic guitar-based soundscapes, Brad has released on respected imprints such as Home Normal, Oscarson, and Past Inside The Present, as well as through his own label, Polar Seas Recordings. His influences span from the spacious, slow-moving worlds of Stars of the Lid to the delicate intimacy of Julie Byrne, with a constant leaning toward minimalism and melody. In addition to his solo work, Brad is an active collaborator, creating music as Rosales (with Ian Hawgood) and Citrine (with Phoebe Dubar), among other projects.

Their second full-length collaboration is called ‘Let One Bird Sing’ and follows 2023’s ‘Lost Under The Sea’ on the Home Normal label. The two artists began by patiently exchanging small musical sketches, allowing each to build upon and reshape the ideas in their own way. Layers of guitar, modular tones and textures were gradually woven together into a seamless whole. It was an unhurried process where space and subtlety were as important as melody. Both artists have a deep respect for detail and restraint, and this shared affinity is evident throughout this album.
Brad was inspired to choose the album’s title based on a line in a poem by Faiz Ahmad Faiz, which speaks to a hope for freedom. This is something Brad connected not only to humanity but also to the natural world. The pieces on ‘Let One Bird Sing’ carry a sense of openness and quiet reverence for nature, reflected in their unforced, drifting structures and gentle interplay of tones. The artist’s intention was to create a space for calm and reflection, inviting either attentive listening or moments of stillness and detachment.

Ruptured World is the cinematic ambient project of Alistair Rennie (UK), who is also known as an author of Weird Fantasy and Horror Fiction. 

The exoplanetary deep space mission to Proxima Centauri b has reached its intended destination. Work begins on assessing the planet for its suitability as a site of colonial expansion and habitation for an increasingly desperate human race. 

But there are problems. 

"Exoplanetary" features fragments of transmissions amid sonorous and distorted interpretations of narrative events as the mission faces up to the challenges of off-world exploration and the inescapable fact that, on Proxima Centauri b, the human visitors are not alone. 

Cosmic horror combines with ambient evocations of a real-life futuristic drama in the face of alien estrangement and a prevailing aura of existential persecution. Radio transmissions are superseded by melodic inferences of atmospheric detail and the otherworldly drones of cosmic landscapes and the mysterious twilight roaming grounds of the Krivren. 

The "Exoplanetary" CD package comes with a documentary booklet featuring a 16-page executive summary of the mission's objectives and a detailed profile of the planet's geophysical characteristics, as well as its inherent dangers. Digital Booklet also included with download. 

It offers a unique listening and reading experience that integrates sound orchestration with speculative dark fiction to present a quasi-scientific account of future possibilities rendered in sound. 

Recommended for fans of cinematic dark ambient and spoken word.

Bio:

Immersed in the synth-pop and electronica of the Eighties growing up in southern England, State Azure (b. 1972) found early inspiration in Jean-Michel Jarre, Tangerine Dream, and Vangelis. Deconstructing their tracks ignited his passion, leading him to develop a foundational understanding of electronic music theory, composition and production entirely by ear and experimentation.

He honed his skills as a keyboardist and producer within live bands before venturing into solo ambient/experimental territory. This self-taught journey fostered a deeply improvisational and emotional approach, free from the confines of formal training.

State Azure's sonic world is further shaped by influences beyond music, drawing heavily from science fiction, cosmology, physics, and technology.

Seizing the opportunity presented by the burgeoning online music scene, he launched the State Azure project to connect directly with listeners, debuting with the album 'Outlines' in December 2011.
