For this edition of our podcast series, we are presenting Leipzig-based Dj and producer HKKPTR, with a dark, fast-forward mix to keep us moving while waiting for the clubs to reopen. He has his musical roots in black metal and later got in touch with electronic music through gabber and Schranz always searching for dark and energetic ambiances. With his releases as well as his mixes he is trying to catch a dark industrial- and EBM-influenced but mainly powerful sound.

I am based in Berlin and born in Hamburg, where the experimental music scene shaped my perspective on sound. Also the classical background in piano put the focus in early age on selecting and playing music.
My emotional Techno journeys are seeking high energy levels in a playful way, with twists of Trance, Gabber and beyond. I feel most comfortable outside of the comfort zone!


 • What are your artistic influences apart from electronic music ? 
I am deeply rooted in the experimental/noise scene and also enjoy post punk, dark wave, old japanese pop, hardcore punk and ambient black metal. I also feel influenced by art in general and love to visit exhibitions and museums.

Giacomo Raisi AKA Jack’s Trip is a DJ, music producer, and audio engineer based in Berlin.
The foundation of Jack’s music lies in field recordings, dense textures, and intriguing grooves. His characteristic blend of creative audio manipulation and organic sound design offers unexpected moments in every track. Experimentation plays a crucial role in his work, as he seamlessly combines various sound sources, elements, genres, and concepts.

Giacomo embarked on his journey in electronic music production at a young age and quickly delved into the world of DJing. Throughout his career, he has explored a multitude of genres, with a particular focus on the dancefloor. Growing up in an environment rich in diverse art and cultures, his dual Italian and Peruvian nationality further contributed to his artistic development.

Having lived in different countries and travelled extensively, Giacomo’s mind has been opened to artistic experimentation, allowing him to explore various concepts and methods to establish his own identity and sound as a DJ, Electronic Music Producer, and Sound Designer.

His artistic influences stem from genres such as Metal, Psychedelic and Progressive rock, Techno, Experimental, and Cinematic music.
