Juno Beach is the third release by Italian duo Snow In Mexico, and their most ambitious to date. Dreamy, washed out landscapes have been replaced by granular vibes that ebb and flow with the beat. Andrea Novelli and Massimiliano Cruciani craft visions of simulated paradise, blinding neon lights, and 80’s cyberpunk aesthetic with warm, vintage sounds of the legendary Roland Juno. Snow In Mexico constructs an EP that dips into the uncanny valley, blurring the line that separates analog shores from the vast digital ocean.

From Brother Dege's new "Scorched Earth Policy: Deluxe" CD out July 24, 2015.

Following his two previous acclaimed solo efforts (2009's "Folk Songs Of The American Longhair" & 2013's "How To Kill A Horse") Brother Dege released a unique 19-track digital "summer mixtape" last year entitled "Scorched Earth Policy," featuring a mix of newly recorded studio songs, demos, covers and field recordings. Now Dege has updated it into a more cohesive studio album, "Scorched Earth Policy: Deluxe," paring down some of the rougher demos and field recordings and has added four new studio tracks to it. This is the first time any of these songs will be available on CD.

Brother Dege's "Scorched Earth Policy: Deluxe" will be available July 24, 2015 on CD and digital formats.

Ever since his music has been featured in Quentin Tarantino's film Django Unchained, as well as the Discovery Channel and the National Geographic Channel, Brother Dege (AKA Dege Legg) can no longer lay claim to being "one of the best kept secrets in the Deep South." Dege is a musician, writer, workingman and heir to a long line of unusual characters born and raised in the southern U.S. Like the mad lovechild of Son House, Faulkner and Patti Smith, Legg has burned a crooked trail to the Promised Land. Avoiding traditional career paths, he has spent as much time exploring the backwoods weirdness of his home state as he has forging his own brand of incendiary, "psyouthern" roots music. The journeys are parallel. Since the late '90s, Dege has pushed slide, resonators, and the Deep South, kicking and screaming into the 21st century, melding elements of folk, Delta blues, punk, rock, metal, hippie ragas and outlaw county into one blasted, raw whole.

BROTHER DEGE - Somewhere

Static Daydream is the new project of Paul Baker (founding member of Skywave and Ceremony), and their first full-length release is comprised of 11 noisy pop songs swathed in reverb and distortion.

In 2012, Paul, and his girlfriend and musical partner, Jamie Casey, began recording what would become their debut EP, "The Only One," released on Moon Sounds Records in 2014 to much adoration.  Here's a review from Clank For Breakfast:

"Once you enter the door to the four melody-kisses-noise songs on this EP, you’re hooked and feel home in less than a sec. Whether it’s the dynamically circulating opener “The Only One” with its delightfully seductive, crisp chorus, the groovy “I Want To Break Your Heart” with its bittersweet charm and The Cure reminding guitar colors, the gently swirling dreampop cloud “Disbelief” featuring the fairylike, beautiful vocals by Jamie Casey and additional programming by Jake Reid (Screen Vinyl Image), or the closing noisepop candy “Inside” with its sparkling energy and sweet'n'yearning scent - this trip showcases skilful songwriting and offers embracing harmonies as well as crunchy edges, pulse-quickening, fiery moments as well as relaxed flirts".

Their self-titled album on Saint Marie Records with Moon Sounds Records, released in 2015, is full of melancholic, romantic, distortion-fueled songs, dripping with reverb and classic songwriting.  Inspired by 60's girl groups, 80's and 90's British noise-pop, and assisted by Jake Reid of Screen Vinyl Image and Ice Station Mastering, Static Daydream's debut is full of dreamy, hook-laden songs reminiscent of Skywave, The Jesus and Mary Chain and Slowdive.

The true beginnings of garage-dwelling daydreamers Mirror Travel originate in 2003 in a small Texas town you’ve never heard of.  Through many cities, years, and members, Lauren Green (guitar, vocals) and Tiffanie Lanmon (drums) remained the spring of the band’s musical essence, continually writing, recording, and performing their own brand of narcotic, swirling, post-punk for over a decade.

In 2010 the two recorded the wiry and propulsive earworm The Ghosts That Wake You as the title track of Gerard Cosloy’s (Matador Records) pet project, Casual Victim Pile; a 19 song snapshot of Austin’s Red River music scene. The project quickly landed the band a 7” release (Wooden Bones) on Seattle’s Mt. Fuji Records and US tour dates alongside acts such as Bill Callahan, Ringo Deathstarr, and …And You Will Know Us By The Trail Of Dead with new bass player and vocalist Paul Brinkley in tow.

Mirror Travel returned from the road with new material and set their sites on the small desert town of Marfa, TX to record their first full-length album, Mexico. Working with engineer Gory Smelley at his Marfa Recording Company, the trio spent two weeks crafting one of the year’s most solid releases, a half hour of echo-drenched fuzz Esquire Magazine described as “Neil Young playing live from the bottom of a well”.  Mexico is loose, grungy garage at its finest and travels at such an unhurried and hypnotic pace that you may feel you've driven across the desert yourself.

Mirror Travel’s upcoming release, Cruise Deal, takes the same smoldering psych-rock of Mexico and submerges it in a sea of dense and dreamy post-punk sludge. Recorded in the band’s Austin, TX storage-unit-turned-rehearsal-studio with friend and live-sound engineer Roy Taylor (Emmylou Harris, Patty Griffin), Cruise Deal is brazenly live and best listened to on the loudest speakers you own. Beyond the intensity of Cruise Deal’s sheer volume lies a frank examination of life in the in-between - the album was born as the band counted last days in their native state. The album speaks to a certain sort of coming and going; by the time Cruise Deal was mixed and mastered, Mirror Travel was spread across three time zones with Lauren in New Mexico, Paul in Philadelphia, and Tiffanie poised to leave Austin. Tiffanie (drums) soon said goodbye to Texas and set off with newest member Meredith Stoner (bass) to rejoin Lauren (guitar, vocals) in Northern New Mexico; the trio is currently writing new music and will tour upon Cruise Deal’s release on 3/11/16.
