Qdup's latest disco fueled single 'Electric Tonight' gets re-imagined in 3 different styles by top notch artists. Rory Hoy, Turnstyle and Holmes Ives each put their own touch on the single and give us 3 new remixes that will be lighting up dancefloors and shaking butts world wide.

First up and making his Fort Knox Recordings debut is UK's own Rory Hoy. Rory has 5 critically acclaimed albums under his belt on Freddy Fresh's Howlin' Records label and numerous singles, EPs, remixes and collaborations on various labels worldwide. And he literally wrote the book on Big Beat with his 2018 publication 'The Little Big Beat Book' which explores one of our favorite 90's genres. Rory delivers a super vibey mid-tempo breaks remix that's sure to keep the heads nodding and bodies' moving. Groovy chords and a classic sounding breakbeat lead the way and a heavy bassline drop elevates the energy to flex any soundsystem. 

Up next is Turnstyle, a new moniker for the artist formerly known as Bobby C Sound TV, who remixed Fort Knox Five and many more. His remix of Electric Tonight takes us on a journey that feels like neon drenched 80's Synth Wave with modern heavy-hitting dancefloor production sensibility. Ominous arpeggiated synth lines and a pulsating bassline and beat drive the vibe of the track playing off the vibe of Qdup's original mix while pushing the tempo and energy up. This one makes us feel like getting in a Delorian and gunning it to 88mph to go back in time!

Rounding out the remixes is long time collaborator and Fort Knox Recordings mastering engineer, Holmes Ives. Over the years Ives has established himself as one of D.C.'s premiere electronic music producers with over 50 singles and 11 albums spread over various label including Yoshitoshi, Bedrock, Caffeine, Six Degrees, Shinichi and more. Holmes puts his stamp on Electric Tonight with a groover of a remix. complete with a 4-to-the-floor beat, a tight bassline and relentless rhythm lay the foundation as vocal chops weave through the beat to great musical effect. This remix is definitely Electric!

On Advent Day 14, we dip into the world of Drum and Bass - particularly of the liquid kind - with a sublime mix from Peterborough-based Nick 'Sincere' Porter. 

A bonafide member of the old skool, Nick has been promoting the music he loves since the late 80s/early 90s with his High Rollaz club night. Fast forward to present times and while his club night remains, High Rollaz has now become the name of his record label and radio show on Future Sounds Radio. The music found in Nick's mix reflects the type that can be heard on his radio show and what you can expect from his label brilliantly and it could easily be one of the best Drum and Bass mixes you've heard in a while. 

Opening with an intro featuring his brother from another mother, Rayan Gee of rave legends Shades of Rhythm, Nick gets the ball rolling with the latest release on High Rollaz - Twilight - and then proceeds to serve up an incredible selection of liquid funk and deeper liquid Drum and Bass. The flow and progression of the mix are a joy to the eardrums and warm your cockles this mix most definitely will.

It wouldn&rsquo;t be a real BBP year without a new Pecoe release and here he is back for his 10th release on BBP. Following up on the tasty Beat Treat EP of last year &ndash; here is Vol. 2 with 4 brand new funk nuggets for the funky DJ-sets.
Pecoe has released a lot of music lately and has decided to slow down and focus on producing high quality electronic funk tunes and this concept really shines through across all 4 jams on this release.
Starting off the EP with the James Brown in-fused crowd pleaser called So Nice, which throws down some big funky grooves and catching vibes. Followed up with the My Business which perfectly combines some sweet dance vocals with some heavy hitting golden-era Hip-Hop flows.
Moving on with the straight-up funky Gonna Do It Right which has all the right elements for a funk jam &ndash; from the wah-wah guitar to the filthy saxophone. Finally Pecoe takes us the final funk journey with the Funky Dope who takes a dip into the oldskool hiphop and some steady rocking breakbeats.
Another winner from always reliable Pecoe and straight to the funky BBP vault.
