All we can tell you for sure is that this is not your big brothers dubstep. Yes it's 140 BPM, yes it has a drop or two, but this masterpiece by Mr. Bill and Virtual Riot creates something rare and amazing for the genre. A fork in the road that will inspire what is coming next.

For some reason Virtual Riots version and the version on Beatport is 5:30, but my version is 6:02. I'm not sure why...

Once a year, I like to release a DJ mix in a genre that I don’t typically play out (but very much enjoy). It’s an opportunity for me to do a deep dive on artists and labels that I may not be familiar with. I find that it’s a great exercise as an artist as well as a DJ because it forces me to curate different vibes while identifying and implementing creative techniques that are outside of my wheelhouse. This keeps it interesting for me as I love a challenge and the growth that comes from it.

Since it’s summer, I thought doing a sexy UK Garage set would be appropriate. Plus I wanted something that I could put on while I’m chillin that matches the vibe I associate with being poolside.

I’m very pleased with how this one turned out so I hope you enjoy it 😎
