Statra Recordings throws open the doors to its much sought after vault as it compiles Unreleased, Reissues & Bsides. The diverse compilation features some of the Brooklyn labels favorite characters from the moody armchair electronica of Geche and the driving Detroit techno of Chris J to the classic remix prowess of JT Donaldson and Mateo & Matos while not forgetting the clever, infectious music of Statra good ol boy Nick Chacona. Denver McCarthy puts his two cents in with a deliciously, retro sounding track that appeared in the bowels of his debut LP. Rounding out this motley crue is key flagships of Statras various imprints, Statravel and Statra Twelves. Sprinkled among the compilation are forthcoming releases and remixes by Brendon Moeller, Cassady Locke, Wata Igarashi, Jean Phi Dary, Oliver Deutschmann, SGNY (Stephen Green) and Niko Diamantopoulos. Several previously digitally unavailable mixes and masters found themselves on Statras collection such as Alexi Delano featuring Robert Manos, Jeff Sharel, Ramsay (Chris Lake & Asher Jones), Nu Mood Orchestra, Microlife and J.Axel featuring Astrid Suryanto. While tracks have floated around in the bowels of digital purgatory (or YouTube), Unreleased, Reissues & Bsides accomplishes to consolidate some of Statra Recordings most prestigious property off of its most critically acclaimed releases during the past decade into one comprehensive and distinct compilation. Mix master Nick Chacona spins up a mixed version.

J.Axel feat. Astrid Suryanto- You Give Me (Love) (Drum Edit)

For his first solo release, Amadeo Savio takes care of VGNR05 with a new EP that shows off his very real skills, spread across four fresh cuts. This cult minimal house producer has landed himself on some impressive labels so far and is an assured talent amongst the scene right now, you would not know this is his first personal outing. 

Opener 'Isolat' is nine minutes of silky and slinky deep house with punchy drum programming that gets you moving. 'Trance Later' is deeper and more zoned out, with heady pads and dub vibes sinking you into the depths of the cut. Arranged for dance floor pleasures. 'Encor' then gets a little freaky with some deft synths and sci-fi sounds, tripped out pads and generally beautiful ambient sounds. Last of all, 'Passion' then chops up vocals, bendy synths and raw hits into a jittery groove that keeps you on your toes. 

An excellent EP overall from, Amadeo Savio.

London-based artist and label boss Rich NxT returns with remixes from Oscillat co-owner Malin Genie and Argy, who most recently released on Moscow Records. Graduating onto its sixth release, NxT Records celebrates by looking back through its catalogue while serving up some new, refreshed cuts from two of Rich NxT’s favourite artists. Both have been given free rein to choose from the back catalogue and remix a track of their choosing. On the flip the incredibly versatile Argy remixes ‘Sauna De Plastico’ from NXT002, rightly identifying the old DC10 feel as a starting point for a modern reinterpretation, bringing his influential sounds from the time bang up to date.

 Statra Recordings is the well-respected independent record label founded by Brooklyn native Dave Tomaselli back in April of 1999 with a simple mission... focus on quality over quantity, and never be bound to any one genre.
 
 The label quickly set the benchmark for quality electronic music in the US with its unconventional A&R style and the infamous compilation series Harry The Bastard Presents - Club H. Copies of which have be found trading hands on the web for upwards of $100. A succession of innovative and highly coveted albums and singles from artists like Jeff Sharel, Denver McCarthy, Charles Webster, Mr. Velcro Fastener, and the 2000 label compilation Statras Paradigm Shift quickly propelled Statra onto the international stage. The labels releases were often referred to as timeless and future classic, gaining notoriety from fanzines to NPR, and support internationally from DJ's across of every genre of dance and electronic music.
 
 With the creation of 3 genre specific vinyl only sub-labels STATRA TWELVES (Deep & Tech House), STATRAVEL (Leftfield & Down-Tempo), and STATRAX, the collaboration label formed with world-renowned DJ & producer Victor Calderone, Statra continued to deliver innovative new sounds to a growing and well receiving audience. To this day Statra's catalog continues find success both on and off the dance floor.
 
 Statra's catalog is distributed internationally by A.D.A., and will start to become available digitally online for the first time in the Summer of 2009 via The Orchard.
