Played this today in my vinyl set at a record store, people were vibing to this obscure gem. I actually used to work with Chris J, super talented guy and a wonderful person to be around.

DJ W!LD has exclusively revealed to DJ Mag that he will release his next full -length album, titled ‘Techno City’, via his own W imprint on Monday 3rd April.

We’ve got the exclusive play of the release’s lead single. ‘King Hit’, above.

‘Techno City’ is the Dijon-born Circoloco resident’s first album in just over two years, and is a noticeably darker and more stripped back offering than the disco-fuelled production of 'When You Feel Me'.

On ‘King Hit’, DJ W!LD – real name Guillaume Duchastel De Montrouge – presents a club track built around an orchestra of snare rolls, emotive pads and rising energy topped with a vocal sample.

Slamming in for exposure via Cassy’s commanding imprint Kwench Records is venerated DJ, producer and label chief Alex Arnout with a vitalising two-track EP.

Inspired by the rich house tracks dispatched by Danny Tenaglia’s Tribal America label in the mid ‘90s, the EP aims for nostalgia-grabbing gold and takes hold with ‘Afrofuturism’. Loaded with low-end grooves and mesmeric, spaced-out vocal hooks, it’s guaranteed to put dancers in the zone. ‘Riffin’ cuts in like a temptress, with an equally absorbing vocal hook and slamming drum loops for a satisfying payoff.

Born in the South of France to Guyanese and French Guyanese parents, keyboardist Jean-Phillippe Dary has lent his unique stylings to the likes of huge Afropop, World Beat, and Caribbean artists such as Papa Wemba (Real World) Toure Kunda, Alpha Blondy, and Daddy Nuttea.

Now the keyboardist for FORMER Fela KUTI sideman Tony Allen and part of the well received collective Psyco On Da Bus, Jean-Phi's firstever solo excursion into deep, broken beat house sees the light of day on Statra Recordings after just a single play from Statra's man in France, Jeff Sharel who brought the track to Dave T. some months back 
Part 1 of this gorgeous 2 part 12" sees the original get reworked by Statra conspirators ALEXI DELANO ("Round & Round") and CHRIS J.
