Back in 1976 an MGs album was discovered in the vaults and released on vinyl. It was called "Union Extended". Is this it?

Yes, this is most of the "Union Extended" album. I picked the tracks from unreleased materiel in the vault, overdubbed some strings, percussion, and played guitar on the two tracks that didn't have gtr already (16:40 & 21:28), plus Moog, and then mixed it. Was released in Europe, but there were 1 or maybe 2 more songs.

What the Fuck ?  You had the nerve to add guitar to Steve Cropper ???
