Non Applicable (Na Na) is an explosive, rebellious rock song. The lyrics deliver a powerful message to people living in a ‘failing system’, refusing to step in line and making a mockery of instructed orders as if they are gibberish. People are unaware of the signs, sirens and state of emergency that surrounds them and the time has come for it to end. Non Applicable (Na Na) is not just a song, it’s a wake up call.

This song is important to us (SFT) for many reasons. Lyrically we are screaming out to people about serious topics and are out to shake foundations. It can be interpreted down to a personal level to spit back at those who have gotten you down/control you or looked at as vocal ammunition against a ‘failing system’, a message to unite and ‘re-ignite what’s human, enough is enough!’ We wanted to make a song that was bigger and better than anything we had previously created and strived to make a huge sounding track. We feel like we have really stepped things up from this point forth. Non Applicable (Na Na) is just the beginning of Stay For Tomorrow 2.0

The One is a motivating melodic indie rock song that talks about battling negative thoughts and overcoming your demons.

Mental health is such a serious topic and needs to be talked about. We wanted to write something that people will be able to relate to but also to inspire and deliver a message of hope that things get better; you are capable, you are good enough and you will come out the other side of this fight - you are the one.
‘I’ll be ready to turn this around, my head is heavy but I can’t break now!’

Musically, this song allows us to show a different side to the band, proving that we aren't just a one trick pony. This has been a key focus that has been at the centre of SFT since the very beginning.

The One - Stay For Tomorrow

Prison Living is a powerful, captivating, alt rock song that talks about the entrapment of a relationship.

We wanted to dive deeper into talking about the struggles of a relationship rather than just the feelings of heartache that the aftermath brings. ‘The skin that I’m in, where to begin? It’s prison living.’ Prison Living is about a couple who do not have the guts to end things whilst the resentment of each other grows every day. Written from a personal experience yet something relatable to many. ‘Staying up all night you’re waiting for my call. But my mind has locked my lips from speaking at all.’ It is always a goal of ours to make our next song bigger and better than the last and we feel we have really stepped it up a notch. This is what you have been waiting for, this is Prison Living.

Lipstick lips is a head banging, captivating pop punk/alt rock post breakup song.

It tells a story of a self-assertive person retaliating at their ex with a loud, middle-finger message that they will never find anyone that compares to them. Despite their best attempts to move on, anyone else they find is nothing special. “All you’ll find are the lipstick lips and the stereotypes.”

This track was written to sound like something that would fit right in on a Tony Hawk’s game soundtrack. With a throwback to 90’s skater vibes plus ska style brass at the forefront, this track provides an element of nostalgia with a twist out of the ordinary, all whilst providing that signature Stay For Tomorrow sound. We have given you a wake up call before, but this track is a whole new animal.

To us, Kings and Queens certainly brings an element of nostalgia to our early days with this being our first release as Stay For Tomorrow.

With this re-release it gave us a chance to add to the production, making the track bigger and better. Comparing the original release to what we have to offer now shows how far we have come as a band and musicians.

Kings And Queens - Stay For Tomorrow

Formed in 2018, Stay For Tomorrow are an energetic four piece alternative rock band emerging from Dunfermline, Scotland. Consisting of vocalist and rhythm guitarist Joe MacFarlane, lead guitarist Nic Holson, synth-bassist/keyboardist Gemma Wickham and drummer Sean Priestley. Fans of Biffy Clyro, Foo Fighters, and Velvet Revolver will appreciate SFT’s epic, fresh alt-rock sound, characterised by their unique signature style that will make you wish you had discovered them sooner.

The band burst onto the Fife music scene in 2019 with their debut single Kings and Queens. Several singles later including Rumours and Criminal, we fast forward to 2021 with the releases I Don't Need You To Save Me, Non Applicable (Na Na) and The One. In 2022 the band released tracks Prison Living and Lipstick Lips. In 2023 they re-recorded and released their debut single Kings and Queens (2023 Version) coupled with a physical release of the album The Story So Far - a collection of all of the previously released singles! This was quickly followed by the single Always You which saw the band raise their profile and progress further with record amounts of airplay and streaming numbers! Pick Me Up was then released in November as they kicked off their third mini English tour and knocked all numbers that Always You had set out the park. This was then followed by their rock anthem Crushing Down which saw incredible radio support including being featured on ex Kerrang and Planet Rock radio host Emma Scott's Plugginbaby show.

Stay For Tomorrow have supported major acts such as Inglorious, Massive Wagons, Who Saves The Hero? and Anchor Lane. They have also performed at iconic Scottish venues such as King Tuts Wah Wah Hut, The Mash House and PJ Molloys. In 2022 the band made their mark on the Scottish festival scene where they played Bonfest (returning in 2025) and since then have played Winterstorm, ButeFest and MontroseFest. They won the Best Music Video (Lipstick Lips) award at The Lowlands Music Awards 2023 and were nominated for Best Rock Act.
In 2023, Stay For Tomorrow embarked on their first English tours and have since toured the UK multiple times. More music and shows are on the horizon.
