ShnugDub is the psychedelic dub act of Courtney Barends. Growing up in Johannesburg South Africa, she draws influence from 90s hip-hop, drum ‘n bass and dubstep. Her involvement in the Cape Town psytrance community for the last 10 years has led to a deep exploration of each psychedelic genre known to humankind, allowing her to combine dubby psychedelic sounds with broken rhythms, groovy gangsta beats and crunchy twisted basslines. Ranging from dub to mid-tempo psychedelia, this squelchy, soulful senorita will tickle your brain cells and get you warmed up for whatever lies ahead.
