Been getting a bit sick of all the rave stabs and trance riffs in so much of the 'techno' that's coming out at the minute that I decided to do this mix yesterday. Straight up, no nonsense proper techno from start to finish. Cracked open a bottle of rum and was well oiled by the time i started recording. Not a bad Saturday afternoon!

Revelation Of Sound is pleased to present Mary Yuzovskaya. By way of NYC, Berlin and before that Moscow, vinyl only techno DJ, producer and record label owner Mary Yuzovskaya has been cultivating her unique orbit in the electronic dance music firmament for over 13 years.

Having graced the decks of all Moscow’s hotspots back in the mid-2000s, Mary moved to Berlin, where she quickly became recognised for both her blisteringly-precise vinyl-only techno sets and her painstakingly professional approach to the craft of DJing. Based in New York City since 2013, Mary currently holds a residency at Public Records and solely runs her very own record label called Monday Off, launched in 2017, where she curates and presses work from artists that explore techno's trippier, more hypnotic side. After relocating to the US, Mary quickly became a key figure in its scene, performing regularly at different venues including multiple residencies at some of the city’s institutional parties like Unter, where she was a staple for three years, as well as working as a vinyl distribution manager at renowned Brooklyn-based record shop Halcyon.

Mary has been fortunate enough to share the decks with many talented and internationally recognised musicians such as Blazej Malinowski, Claudio PRC, Dino Sabatini, Edit Select, Ness, Xhin, and many others. She has been busily traveling the world and performing her unique take on techno music’s deeper vibes at many noted clubs and parties across the world, including ://about blank, Basement, Compound (LA), Distillery (Leipzig), OHM, Output (Brooklyn), Propaganda (Moscow), and Tresor, to name only a few.

Berlin Techno 001 - Ben Teufel

Born in Naples in 1989, Diego developed a strong passion for electronic music as he was growing up around Neapolitan club culture as a teenager. 
He started mixing at the age of 16 locally, catching the eye of numerous promoters as he showed talented skills behind the decks. 
In 2011, he was chosen to be part of the infamous Nice To Be project where his collaboration granted him the possibility to grow and push the limits as an artist. It’s when his own style began to shape towards Techno that Diego was inspired to make his own music, and when his unique personality grew as an artist. 
His various releases are among respected labels such as MindTrip Records, Konsequent Records, Nowhere, Etruria Beat, KSR, Nice To Be Rec, Planet Rhythm, Arts e Circular Limited. 
Diego’s career is developing fast with his prominent releases and his experience behind his music knowledge.

Sacha Ketterlin, the creative mind behind Intumi, presents the fifth Intumi Podcast under his alias Berghson.

Born in Switzerland and raised in France, he has been living in Berlin since 2008. Classically trained in piano, he is now known for his absorptive, richly textured electronic sounds. Strongly influenced by techno and rave culture, he went on to dive deeply in the electronic music scene. Under his alias Berghson he released on labels such as Minihard, Sui Generiz and Frequenz5. Playing live since more than a decade, he knows what matters the most in the club, and delivers deep basslines and straight beats.

We start off the week with this special Guest Mix from Konnektivitat, a techno, industrial, and ambient music producer from Italy, owner of Koma Recording and co-founder of Pure Signal Events.

A bearer of darkness and uncompromising techno, Konnektivitat’s (aka William Luzzi) career began after studying sound design and music production in Florence. After the youth road in experimental rock / metal bands as a keyboardist/singer, Luzzi immersed himself in the club culture improving his knowledge about modular synthesizers and analog gears, started to play techno in underground parties. After a bad car accident where he lost a dear person, the coma and mental illness followed up took him to refuse everything/everyone going deep in dark composition places and experimental studies.

At the beginning of 2014, after the getting up of the label Koma Recording, Konnektivitat’s released his first concept album plus an EP, both results of ‘some trips halfway betwen life and death’.

After various videoart/music events in Florence he started to work to production of a lot of music. All this recorded material helped him growing up his personal musical approach. Now, finally after illness, in 2020 he is ready to put out his and other fellow producers' material. The first release ‘Immaterial’ will be only a starting point.

In 2019 he holds the qualification ‘Composition Technician for Media’ studying Music For Films at the School Of Music in Fiesole. After this he worked for various soundtrack composers helping them also to compose the soundtrack for a film. He worked for a period at the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino as Audio Technician broadcasting/recording some great performances for the radio and the TV. In the same year with some fellows started up the Pure Signal Events Management team in Florence IT. With this project they are trying to create a new electronic underground music scene setting up well studied parties with quality international artists, installations and visual shows. He played alongside Domenico Crisci, Bas Mooy, VSK, Headless Horseman and many others.
