A quick look at Andy (Altered State) Senior's history... 

Andy Senior first contracted the Dance Music bug in 1990 at the age of 12, when he stumbled upon pirate radio stations Joy FM & Dream FM in Leeds. Loving the uplifting piano riffs combined with beats he had never heard before he soon became hooked. 

Over the next few years built up a collection of flyers and mixtapes from the likes of Steve Luigi, DJ Sy, Slipmatt, Vertigo (Plus many more) from events such as Kaos, The Gallery, Fantazia etc. until he reached the age of 16, at this point Andy bought his first pair of decks and began hitting the raves himself. Ark being his home event at Leeds Uni became his regular haunt, along with Club Kinetic, Life (Bowlers), Helter Skelter, Vibalite and many more!

​Ark being a mixed bag of Piano tunes & House this is what Andy began spinning, but by the age of 18 he found a love for Happy Hardcore and worked towards becoming a Hardcore DJ. He entered a 'Breaking New Talent' contest run by 'Eternity' magazine, submitting his mixtape entry under the alias 'DJ Bliss' .... he won! This meant promotion via a write up including pictures and his mixtape being sold via the magazine. Thanks to this Andy found himself taking bookings at events that he had collected mixtapes from over the previous years, Club Kinetic, Adidance, Reality to name a few! However, due to work commitments his DJ career was fairly short lived!

​At the age of 21 Andy found himself wanting to progress and move into music production. He bought his gear, learnt as much as he could and never looked back! 

​Today, at the age of 34 Andy has had numerous releases under various aliases for labels such as: World Of Trance, Access Records, Rumour Records, Solo Vinyl and has also had tracks included on a couple of compilation CD's.

​Trance is Andy's style these days, although not exclusively.

I'm always interested in remixing for people or working with vocalists/songwriters looking for producers. I remix 'On Spec' so don't charge a fee upfront, just agree a % split in the even of our work being signed. These days, I mainly work online, with technology it's just so easy to communicate with people from anywhere in the world and transfer files etc. So playing in Cyber Space is a big part of my life!

My name is Matt, and I have been making music for over 15 years, mostly with the guitar/bass. I started producing electronic music, mostly dubstep in 2010, and switched to trance/hardcore in 2012. I like all styles of music, but uk hardcore is my ultimate favorite. I don't have any real ambitions of making a living off of music, I mainly make it for other people to enjoy and to listen to while I work lol. I use Ableton Live 8, my favorite synths are Zeta+2, and Massive, though I rarely use Massive for anything other than bass lines.
