Fast Times is the musical alter ago of Jorge Day, a Brooklynite with a taste for slick, bass heavy rhythms and spaced out synths. 

Jorge's musical CV includes synth duties in Wierd Records mope-pop act Plastic Flowers as well as production for sultry neo-wavers Lingerie, but when left to his own devices he crafts dance floor ready beats under the Fast Times flag. Fast Times’ debut LP Bodytalk dropped with the purveyors of basement lux grooves over at LA imprint 100% Silk in 2013 with Gorilla vs. Bear noting the warm, analog vintage vibes. There's a starkness and crunch to these tracks that skews them more towards the proto-house vibe of various mid-80's analog sides, when productions were more about raw rhythms and melodic minimalism, instead of the prolonged tension-and-release model which dominates to this day. 

History aside, Fast Times creates a tripped out skeletal synthesis of numerous styles, including house and bass.

Having worked on the station together for over 2 years, but never actually met, DJ Bini from Manchester, UK, and Redbill from Treport in France, finally met for the first time at The Together Festival in Carmarthen, South Wales, UK, where ReelhouseFM hosted the VIP arena. The attraction was instant and they are now a happy couple! 

Smashing the concept club at the start of summer 2014! A 6 hour Back 2 back….4 decks was not enough for the start of this romantic musical fusion.

Manchester’s underground scene is fertile ground for producers and DJ’s to emerge. Sy Chan is for sure one of them. With years experience playing alongside, supporting major artists, and representing global brands, Sy Chan expresses the best cultural melting pot between east with west. His asian heritage combined with UK experience surely helped him to be recognised as a brand new name in the industry. His debut EP ‘Inner Minds’, on Horatio’s Berlin based label Natural Rhythm, has gained early support from artists such as Marco Carola, Luciano, Reboot, Paco Osuna, Nima Gorji, Gel Abril, Stacey Pullen, Federico Grazzini, just to name a few.
With many tracks & remixes lined up for release, including his long awaited ‘Bambara’ production, scheduled for release in early December on new Manchester label Sequential Records, Sy Chan is one to keep an eye on.
