Nebula Theory Chill Trance

There is a tendency within modern electronica to pigeonhole and categorise, to package music into easily digestible formulae. In direct revolt comes Dutch artist Satori and his new album Dreamin’ Colours, released globally April 22nd, 2022, on renowned imprint Crosstown Rebels. Recorded at the esteemed Sonic Vista Studios in Ibiza, the nine-track LP has been greatly anticipated off the back of its proceedings singles: Yellow Blue Bus ft. Laska, Lalai ft. Ariana Vafadari and most recently Gin Song. 

Troublemaker ft. El Mundo retains an inherent melodic quality, progressing through poignant strings and whispering kick-hat combos. It leaves us feeling pensive, as Condor ft. Ora Dea, Moshe Halperin comes next. It’s the album’s penultimate piece, one that celebrates the native people of Chile through the use of their very own language. Powerful and poignant, the mesmeric sounds of Ora Dea and Moshe meander subtly into Lonely Boy (Redux) ft. Hugo Oak. The closing saga brings things to a wonderfully subdued finish, rounding off the album on a wholeheartedly calming note.

Restoring balance to our series of earthly compilations, we have Earthly Tapes 04. So far, we've brought to you an array of different artists, all with the collective goal of sharing the joy of exploring musical wonders with no borders.

On this release, you'll find 7 wonderful artists expressing their creativity across 6 carefully curated tracks, with native roots connected to 5 different countries across South America and Europe. In keeping with the series so far, nature and electronica intertwine in unison to share a space as befitting of hedonistic dancefloor groovers as it is homebound explorations.

The project has been 2 years in the making and has chopped and changed while passing through the motions, but what has remained is the concept behind it. On this edition, we're shining a light on a number of the female producers working within the music scene we’re fortunate to be a part of.

Each artist that has carefully crafted a track for this compilation has also contributed their beautiful crafts within the Organica/Folkloric/Downtempo scene. The countdown to the release of this next chapter finds us coinciding fittingly with International Women’s Day; we’re truly blessed to be able to share them with you.

Belgrade based producer Tebra has been making a lot of noise recently with his ethnic and progressive style, delivering tunes to Serbian label Ritual Records. He joins Art Vibes with two mystical originals, ‘Promena’ and ‘Krug’.
‘Promena’ shows a subtle touch of orientalism through high pitched voices, delicate hand-played strings and a lead violin that ties up remarkably well with the underlying heavy bass and hopping percussions.
‘Krug’ has a trancy side given by a few melodic synth lines and grooves but manages to retain what defines Tebra’s sound signature: traditional acoustic instruments, refined & elegant percussions carefully sent to the right reverb room, and haunting but catchy vocals.
On the other hand, Tunisian producer Haze-M and Aix-En-Provence based artist Rafael Cerato collaborated to give a different interpretation to ‘Krug’. They joined forces and crafted a groovy & syncopated rework creating a whole new reading to the original piece.
Estray, who’s been living a nomadic lifestyle as a DJ and producer, immursed himself into the cultures that he came across while on the road and crafted a n elegant & organic remix of Promena.
Last but not least, the EP is completed with another rework of Promena produced by AsK & Hot Oasis, making the most out of the rhythmic elements of the original, even layering some new grooves for a track ready to be grooved on!
All tracks of this eclectic EP are dance-floor ready and will make a difference either if played slow in a downtempo ethnic set or heavier ones. Mastering: @veytik

Zuma makes music for years, which makes his finely tuned sounds a special combination of traditional and contemporary, a fusion of old poems with modern, technical rhythms full of groove.
The Voodoo Child EP includes different facets and vibes of Zuma, which whirl in every cell. The three Tracker-EP comes along with a lot of energy and mysticism, which is embodied in "Anaconda", "Shadow Smile" and "Voodoo Child".
