This autumn, Monochrome is offering each month to one or several artists to discover their influences and inspirations through a forty-five minute to two hour recording. These three recordings will focus on percussive rhythms between Ambient, Deep Techno, Drum & Bass and Tribe.


Artist Biography

Kick21 crafts fluid and frenetic atmospheres, drawing inspiration from techno, trance, IDM and DnB. Moving seamlessly across a spectrum of BPMs, his universe blends diverse styles into a harmonious fusion that instinctively explores the richness of grooves.
His selections weave a curious blend of magnetic and hypnotic ambiences, explored through sets that combine cold, industrial techno rhythms with organic, psychedelic textures. Instinctive and guided by a pursuit of intimacy, his music seeks to unite two worlds: the digital age, where electronic music is mentally shaped and a more primal, visceral form of sound, hence resonating with both mind and body.

"Juno Review: A record that explores deep, hypnotic rhythms with a strong tribal and mystical undercurrent, the latest Siamese Twins records pushes the boundaries of what is possibly in eastern influences underground techno. Side-1 opens with 'The Golden Triangle', an atmospheric introduction that feels cinematic, setting the stage with ambient textures before giving way to movement. 'Lens of Time' follows, locking into a deep, primal groove where rolling percussion and rich low-end create an entrancing effect. On Side-2 'Mekong' leans into tribal mysticism, blending ancient rhythmic patterns with a modern pulse. The production is detailed yet raw, drawing from rich percussive layers. 'Ruak' closes the EP with pulsating bass and deep, rolling rhythms, channeling Eastern influences into a hypnotic techno flow.
