gi (@gistrung) is a musician from Gadi (Sydney). Her sound blurs the outer limits of drone, idm and techno, interested in how generative sound design and asynchronous repetition can coalesce to create emotional music. Following self-released sketches in 2022, and contributions to compilations by Comic Sans Records (FR), Pure Space (AUS), Twin System (UK), Companion (AUS) she released her debut EP on Altered States Tapes in October 2023 and follow-up liveset EP on Beyond the Bridge (Seoul) in March 2024. In 2024 gi presented her debut album on Absorb (AUS) and launched the World of Knots label, while continuing to refine her unique style of warehouse oriented experimentalism, across live and DJ sets.

Mostra (@mostrabcn) is an independent, small-format festival of avant-garde and experimental electronic music which emerged by the end of 2021 as a counterpoint to the macro-festivals and the overcrowded, commercial and impersonal offerings of other large events held in Barcelona. Mostra will be celebrating its fourth edition from 17 to 20 April in 2025.

Drifting into deep and metric realms, Berlin-based Sean H takes over the Further Inward series, flowing through unseen currents and unfolding enigmatic patterns. Guiding us through a weightless dimension, her soundscapes shimmer between realities. A passage not taken, yet always present.

I’m very pleased to welcome Sean to Further Inward. I was blown away by her atmospheric and progressive selections on the Area127 and the Monochrome series, in which she morphs effortlessly between odd rhythmic patterns. I’m excited to have her guide us through this polychromic journey.

Rhythm is their compass, guiding a deep exploration of percussion and groove, where each beat carves out a hypnotic terrain.
As one-third of the Sarcus Soundsystem and co-artistic director of the label traverse, Olga B. draws inspiration from the rich sonic landscapes of the UK. They craft hypnotic, minimalist productions that open gateways- inviting dancers to lose themselves in movement, dissolving boundaries between body, sound, and space.

Priori’s hit EP Pareidolia gets a well deserved remix treatment. The relation between Priori and Midgar started early 2023 with the release of his Pareidolia EP, where a remix for Keplrr followed quickly the year after. Now, early 2025, a group of close friends and admired artists were invited to rework the Pareidolia’s originals.

Midgar affiliate Forest Drive West uses the opportunity to present not one but two remixes. Presenting one half-time 85 bpm twist of Hazard and another slow-paced murky techno groover. Originally from Montreal, Maara forms the Canadian connection and she turns Memory Palace into a beautiful bouncy dub-techno floater. Sound experimentalist Notte Infinita takes his turn on Pareidolia’s title track and creates some magnificent eyes-closed drum & bass hypnotism. At last, Amsterdam’s upsammy brings back the light with her iconic playful approach. She flips the steady groove of Glass Shards into a jumpy interplay of rhythms and joy.

With 'Mica', Illinois-based artist @zvrra delivers a kaleidoscopic EP that pushes the boundaries of genre and form. Drawing from techno, breakbeat, ambient, and electronica, Zvrra weaves a sonic tapestry that is as intricate as it is imaginative.
Opening with ‚Butterfly‘, the listener is welcomed by a layered interplay of breakbeat rhythm and glistening synths which create a compelling contrast between motion and serenity. The top melody gently flutters, adding a soft emotional tone to the driving groove. The path continues through ‚Wooden Rain‘, where Organic percussion patterns tumble over each other like raindrops on dry wood. The tribal rhythms create a hypnotic momentum that feels both primal and futuristic. Melodies breeze through the third track ‚Prairie Scrub‘ which feel like gusts across a glowing plain. It’s playful and dynamic, evoking the wild beauty of a sun-drenched landscape. Second release on Marco Shuttle’s MSP solo label. This time it’s a 2 tracker reminiscent of his earlier works (“Sing like a bird“ or even “The Vox Attitude”), so a more 4/4 slower approach than his latest releases. The tracks were inspired by deep/tribal 90's progressive house that he heard playing in clubs in the North of Italy (where the producer is from) in those days.
These are very versatile tracks that would easily fit in both techno and (deep psychedelic) house territory.

Crunchy Riddim

A very experimental, one-off release that doesn’t quite fit into any genre. There are influences from Industrial, Hip-Hop, and IDM, but the result doesn’t quite fit into any of them.
These four tracks were made around 10 years ago, at a time when I was still exploring music production but already realizing it wasn’t for me. I never really considered myself a producer, and after this I stopped making music altogether. Still, there’s something about these strange tunes, I think it's the 'no rules' and 'in-between-genres' energy that I like and that made me want to share them now. Maybe someone out there will connect with them in their own way.
