Sous quelque angle qu’on le prenne, le présent est sans issue. Ce n’est pas la moindre de ses vertus. À ceux qui voudraient absolument espérer, il dérobe tout appui. Ceux qui prétendent détenir des solutions sont démentis dans l’heure. C’est une chose entendue que tout ne peut aller que de mal en pis. « Le futur n’a plus d’avenir » est la sagesse d’une époque qui en est arrivée, sous ses airs d’extrême normalité, au niveau de conscience des premiers punks. La sphère de la représentation politique se clôt.
