Stefan Schuck (b.1988) is an American composer whose works have been premiered across the United States, and his lyrical style is prevalent through most of his works. He has recently been commissioned by various performers and performing ensembles, including the Kansas City Horn Club and the Westfield High School Band. His movement of a collaborative work, When Petals Fall, for brass quintet and wind ensemble, was written to commemorate the 125th annual Tournament of Roses Parade. He has also written numerous chamber and solo works that have been performed and premiered at various venues across the east coast. 

Mr. Schuck holds a Masters degree (M.M) in composition from George Mason University and a Bachelors degree (B.M.) in composition from Syracuse University. During his studies he was recognized at both institutions for his achievement, receiving the Irene L. Crooker Award for excellence in music from Syracuse, and the Achievement Award in Graduate Study of Music from George Mason. Teachers of composition include Mark Camphouse, Dr. Daniel Godfrey, Dr. Jesse Guessford, Dr. Andrew Waggoner, Dr. Nicolas Scherzinger, and Gregory Mertl. Stefan is also a member of ASCAP (American Society of Composer, Authors and Publishers) and SCI (Society of Composers, Inc.). 

As a trumpet player, Stefan has performed in such venues as the New Jersey Performing Arts Center in Newark, NJ and the Hylton Performing Arts Center in Manassas, VA. He was selected to the 2005 Hershey’s All-USA High School Band, and has performed solo and in a featured brass quintet with the Syracuse University Wind Ensemble. While at Mason, Stefan was selected to the Mason Brass Quintet as a scholarship player. Stefan has studied trumpet with Gabriel DiMartino, Daniel Sapochetti, and John Tumminia. 

During his graduate study, Stefan served on the teaching faculty at the Potomac Arts Academy in Fairfax, VA, teaching class composition. He was also the Marketing Coordinator for the Mason Symphony Orchestra for their 2012-13 season. Stefan spent three years as a teaching assistant in Ear Training while at Syracuse University, and currently teaches composition, trumpet, and aural skills privately.

Lauren Noelle Chambers is pursuing a BM in Horn Performance at the UMKC Conservatory of Music and Dance. Lauren has been playing horn for 7 years, and is now a junior at UMKC. Lauren is currently a member of the Midwest Chamber Ensemble, Cherry Street Brass, and the Jibrish Horn Quartet, who are all stationed in Kansas City and have performed in other neighboring states. In her spare time, Lauren enjoys graphic design, spending time with her friends and family, and thinking of good puns. After her undergraduate, she plans to continue on to grad school to continue pursuing her dream of being a member in a symphony.
