One of the most eagerly anticipated electronic albums of 2012 is finally released! After a series of groundbreaking singles: Pain In the Ass, Im Week and Ghetto Kraviz (featured here) Muscovite Nina Kraviz is set to release her eponymously titled debut artist album on Radio Slaves superb Rekids imprint. Ninas album is a combination of stripped-bare house, deepest Detroit sounds via beautifully ambient pockets and more soul infused slo-mo jams, all coated with an authentic analogue finish and Nina exquisite vocals. The music is emotive and engaging, whilst being something truly original and inspirational. The album features collaborations with Hard Ton and King Aus. Playing out like a full artistic statement rather than just a collection of tracks, the odd time signatures, innocent and waify vocals, muted acid lines and hypnotic loops layered up by Nina all work subtly at pulling you into her world. A superbly, executed and accomplished debut album that has already set the bar high for electronic albums this year.

The versatile, exceptional artist Mark Tarmonea is a DJ, producer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, singer and label owner. Born as son of a musician and a painter, he began to write his first songs at the age of just seven years. Later on he studied music and travelled around the world, what gave him many influences for his work. By now he’s an established figure in the electronic music scene and is celebrated by his continous growing fanbase for his original and emotional tracks. He’s known for his warm, soulful voice and his unique clubsound, that raises goose bumps in a second. Currently he is touring Germany as a “Live Vocal Electronic Act”.Every year he’s reinventing his own sound, creates new trends and hit’s every time the nerve of a whole generation. Marks releases go from deep house, tech house to melodic techno – he composes, produces and sings all his tracks by himself. 3000Grad Podcast No.33 by Green Lake Project (Radio Fritz - Ritter Butzke Show)

This first Spirit Train experience of ours was actually 3 years in the making and, as fate would have it, from every perspective, all the elements came together to make it pure magic.

As Burn virgins, we arrived wide-eyed and bushy tailed, finally, getting to lay eyes (and ears) on the beast that is LOBO (what a beautiful creature it is).

When stepping aboard knew we were home.

The (relatively) warm, windless night and even the delays in operations on the Wednesday, all seemed to play in our favour. A later start in the small hours of Thursday morning meant meeting the challenge of keeping the light-dancers entertained and lift their energy or risk losing them to the darkness of the night (and sleep).

LUPIS and LOBO, arranged to work in unison to encapsulate and mesmerize in invisible amphitheater, demanded it.

Musically our intent was to merge our personal tastes and do our best to fill the playa with sound. Having its tendrils reach out and, hopefully, draw people towards the light.

On a personal level, as DJs and a couple, this set was all the more poignant. Life and travels mean that this will likely have been the last of our infamous back2back sets.

So we wanted to go out with a bang...

When the sound engineer came up and whispered that he was entrusting us with "all the headroom" and we saw the hard-working Spirit Train crew squeezing the last of their juice to have a little sesh and the countless, dusty smiles getting their rave on, we realised, with great gratitude and humility, that we would share in a priceless magical moment, one that marked a new experience for us and also a perfectly fitting send off and end of an era.

We hope this mix continues to bring as much joy as it did out on the playa.
