Mild Bang, Stephanie Page - Claro Oscuro (Stefan Cordery Remix) [Xood Records]

Much respected US transplant DJ/producer Andy Slate comes up trumps here with his latest EP, Clouds Don’t Cry. The third release on Slate’s own eightmileshigh imprint, it features the prolific producer in vintage form, as he paves the way for an eclectic 6-track EP that speaks volumes of his lengthy production career.

First up is the title track, produced in tandem with Kenny Gino of MindInfluence (Solid Gold Playaz, Cozmic Jazzz Futurist). Blissful melodies and clever strings are the order of the day, as the vaguely progressive backdrop and Gino’s sultry, sun-glistened vocals help carry the track to higher planes. Alexander Koning and Mike Ravelli maintain a similar stance, with their subtle interpretation really getting going once the eventual barrage of simmering snares and weighty percussion enter the equation.

Crunchy textures and popping beats play a pertinent role in Solid Gold Playaz vehement tech-house remix; one that panders to the dance floor with considerable distinction. Hungarian producer Diwex’s remix is all about the forceful kick and the deep overtones, before fledgling British producer and Kinetic Groove owner laces the track with a fair dollop of ominous, atmospheric leanings. Stripped-back but dexterous, it’s a particularly refined offering on an EP that’s brimming with quality.

Finally, Fred Prest goes diverse, turning ”Clouds Don’t Cry” into a heads-down anthem that takes no prisoners and echoes the sound of old-school Detroit in the process. All in all, this is an undoubtedly tasty amalgamation of house music that’s arrived just in time for the summer season.

The 'Original Mix' is the usual high class production you would expect from BiG AL, with it's driving bass line, guitar breakdowns and vocal hook it will get people moving on the dance floor. 

The Stefan Cordery Remix takes the Original down a more progressive route, with the introduction of evolving pads and a more up front beat.  Whilst the Rod Pearson Remix takes a more stripped back approach to things retaining some of the original bass line and synth elements but applying his own deep sound.

Innocence (Stefan Cordery Remix)

Kinetic Groove is pleased to introduce its debut release for 2012, Bad or Beautiful by German producer Cajetanus. With a growing portfolio of work to his name, this young talented producer delivers his first release for the label.

Bad or Beautiful certainly is beautiful with its mixture of low-slung beats and euphoric strings and synths. All of which produce a true spine tingling feeling guaranteed to lift any dance floor. Aranca takes things deeper with a combination of hypnotic slow grooves and rhythmic percussion, all combined with dreamy pads and subtle chords. The release also comes complete with a remix from Kinetic Groove owner Stefan Cordery who raises the tempo and energy on Aranca to produce a feel good tech house track, with its constant bass stabs and warm string elements.

Simone Girau presents “I Due Golfi”, which is a track dedicated to the city of Naples with its characteristics deep / techno sound, representing the vibrant metropolitan Naples. His second track entitled “Hero” identifies the original sound and the influences that characterize the minimal dub artist Simone Girau, accompanied by a deep groove. This EP also includes the remixes of Stefan Cordery, Dr Jhonj as well as Fabio Spzz and Mario Conte’s version. Play it loud!

It’s new release time and also time to introduce yet another new signing! We present to you California based Jose Vizcaino with his debut EP, “Vicious Vision”.

“Vicious Vision” means business from the off with its solid beats and infectious bass line that keeps the energy constant throughout the track. In amongst the beats and bass, Sci-Fi sounding FX and percussion knit everything together, producing a record with peak time written all over it. “Fosforo” maintains the Sci-fi feel with haunting atmospheric pads that twist around the track’s bouncy beats. 

Kinetic Groove’s very own Stefan Cordery is on remix duties with his re-take on Vicious Vision. Stefan takes things darker with a slow burning intro, dub elements and some epic breakdowns - completing the 3 track package.

Welcome to 2013 and a NEW release from Kinetic Groove! This time we bring you a brand new signing in the form of Daniel Parker and Phil2. Regulars on the club circuit in their home town of Siegen (Germany), Daniel and Phil turn their hand to production for their first ever release together.

“A Sense of Pleasure” kicks things off with a complex and infectious house beat, interweaved with simple chord stabs, strings and an old school vocal lick for good measure. “The Drums” leads with yet another intricate house beat and “party” atmospheric to produce a rolling floor filler.

Kinetic Groove’s Stefan Cordery has also completed a remix of the title track, “A Sense of Pleasure”. Stefan takes things BIG from the off with a deep uplifting bass line, driving house beats and old school strings. Watch out for the keyboard solo on the drop!

Ben Hoo announces new single 'Run Of Sevens', released via Get Physical sub-label Kindisch on 3rd July.

A blooming soundscape filled with sinister tones and thick late-night vibes, the percussion is in true Ben Hoo style, utilising various organic sounds to create an up-beat hustle. On remix duties are David Keno, Marc Ashken, Vaal and Stefan Cordery.

Kindisch's own David Keno takes the energy to another level by throwing crunchy beats under hypnotic chord-play. Keno creates a whole new world with his mix, where the sweat drips from your brow as you shake it out in the middle of dark, crowded dance floor deep into the night.

Marc Ashken’s remix rides a similar vibe to Ben’s original, laying heavier kicks, a more straightforward percussive line and an acid bassline. With this, he creates a more driving sensation, pushing you further – a small after-hours touch can be heard here.

Vaal’s remix adds a sense of playfulness, with horns, piano and a minimalistic approach to the percussion. A very sultry, jazzy vibe is induced with the chord-and-piano mix – wanting to be played in the mid-day sun of a hot open-air festival.

And now we move on Stefan Cordery, who’s mix belongs in the late night category, when the crowd expects that one extra ‘push’ to bring them over the top – and he delivers beautifully with constant percussion and swaying pads laid out over a subtle bass line.
