MaC AsYLuM (born Justin Lee McCartney) is an independent hip-hop artist from Cleveland, Utah, known for his emotionally charged lyrics, genre-bending sound, and raw authenticity. Blending elements of West Coast hyphy, trap, emo rap, and alternative hip-hop, MaC AsYLuM delivers a dynamic musical experience that hits just as hard emotionally as it does sonically.

Growing up in a small town with big struggles, his music reflects a life touched by addiction, mental health battles, family tension, and the pursuit of identity. Every verse carries the weight of real experience, and every hook is layered with emotion. Inspired by artists like G-Eazy, Eminem, and Tupac Shakur, MaC AsYLuM uses storytelling as both therapy and rebellion.

Breakout tracks like “Anomaly Villain” earned him front-page spotlight on Jamendo’s “Urban” playlist and over 50,000 downloads. His 2022 albums Dying ’Til I’m Higher and Psych Eval marked the arrival of a unique voice in the underground scene. Singles like “She’s Gone,” “If I Were to Die Today,” and “MaC’n” reveal his range—from haunting reflections to full-throttle self-expression.

Whether he’s collaborating with legends like Cappadonna, and Rittz or going solo with lyrical heat, MaC AsYLuM refuses to conform—he creates his own lane, and rides it unapologetically.
