Ich bin DJ MUGI TOM, mit bürgerlichem Namen Thomas Zacher – geboren in München und aufgewachsen in Niederbayern. Schon früh hat mich elektronische Musik in ihren Bann gezogen. Mit 13 Jahren nahm mich meine Mutter spontan in eine Diskothek mit – und von diesem Moment an wusste ich, dass ich hinter die Decks gehöre.

Mit 16 kaufte ich mir meine ersten Turntables und Platten im legendären Neutronic Records in München. 1995 stand ich dann zum ersten Mal auf der Bühne – in der Music Hall Passau. Seitdem bin ich Teil der Szene und hatte das Glück, bei Events wie dem legendären Watergate Passau, im Alcatraz Landau an der Isar oder als Resident DJ im Kreuzkeller Club Pocking aufzulegen.

Neben meiner damaligen Liebe zu Techno und Trance wurde ich stark durch den Einfluss der Afro Cosmic Szene geprägt, was mich zu meinem ganz eigenen WorldElectroBeat-Stil geführt hat – eine Verschmelzung aus treibenden Grooves, globalen Klängen und kosmischer Energie. Ich durfte mit einigen der größten Namen der Bewegung spielen – darunter DJ Fabrizio Fattori, DJ Stefan Egger, DJ Corrado und DJ Yano. Diese Einflüsse prägen meinen Sound bis heute: rhythmisch, meditativ und voller Emotion.

Meine Musik soll Menschen bewegen – körperlich und emotional. Ich möchte mein Publikum mitnehmen auf eine Reise, bei der sich Alltag, Raum und Zeit auflösen. Für mich ist Musik eine verbindende Kraft, ein Moment von Freiheit und Tiefe zugleich.

I’m DJ MUGI TOM, born in Munich and raised in Lower Bavaria. My passion for electronic music started early — when I was 13, my mother took me to a nightclub for the first time, and from that night on I knew I belonged behind the decks.

At 16, I bought my first turntables and records at the legendary Neutronic Records in Munich. In 1995, I made my debut performance at the Music Hall Passau. Since then, I’ve been an active part of the scene, playing at events like the legendary Watergate Passau, at the Alcatraz Landau an der Isar, and as Resident DJ at Kreuzkeller Club Pocking.

In my early days, I was deeply inspired by Techno and Trance, but over time, the influence of the Afro Cosmic scene led me to develop my own unique WorldElectroBeat style — a fusion of driving grooves, global rhythms, and cosmic energy. I’ve had the honor of sharing the decks with some of the genre’s greats, including DJ Fabrizio Fattori, DJ Stefan Egger, DJ Corrado, and DJ Yano. These experiences continue to shape my sound — rhythmic, meditative, and full of emotion.

My goal is to move people — physically and emotionally. I want my audience to go on a journey where time, space, and everyday life fade away. For me, music is a connecting force — a moment of freedom, energy, and depth.
