After he moved to Valencia, Spain, Darlyn Vlys created his own style of sensual and captivating tech house, tinged with jazzy influences and latin percussions. His sound quickly got him signed to some of the most influential labels on the dance music scene : Get Physical, Upon You, Suara or Sincopat and charted by big names like Loco Dice, Dubfire, Monika Kruse or Matthias Tanzman.
Born in southern Spain, when it comes to Germán Brigante is talking about innovative sound, characteristic stunning groove and a percussive touch in his tracks which results a personal and original sound.
His releases already have the top world electronic current artists support in labels like: GET PHYSICAL, FORM, SAVED, MATERIAL, AREA REMOTE, TRAPEZ, PURA MUSIC, NOVO MUSIC, SINCOPAT, and so on, working along with them such as Smash Tv, Mark Broom, Mihalis Safras, Affkt, or The Glitz amongst others.

Label boss Stefano Noferini teams up with Paco Maroto for some dark and dirty business, courtesy of the undeniably monstrous groove of "Million Units". As we get set for a hypnotic vibe, the rumbling sub-bass ensures that the low end is juicy enough to support the spacious effects and intricate edits. As the rocksteady marathon continues, off-kilter samples pierce the air and sharp claps keep the train rolling.

Danniel Selfmade opts for a slightly dubbier approach with a subtle rhythm section.

While some minimal beats are pounding throughout, Daniel combined them with latin american percussion elements and a catchy brass lick in the breakdown. Natch! & Dothen follow up with their lazy-groove interpretation sporting a percussive vibe along with some bass-heavy action. Chart topping dance music sensation Duke Dumont presents a new offering from his imprint and artist collective with ‘The Mara EP’ coming courtesy of fellow London-based producer and DJ, Kiwi. 

A sterling three-tracker, ‘The Mara’ can be heard alongside an edit from the label boss Duke Dumont himself and b-side addition ‘Gerenuk’.  

'Hearing the demo of ‘The Mara’, it made me regress to the time I spent in the rainforest, chilling with the Chieftains and drinking ayahuasca,” explains the Duke. 

“The obscure sounds of exotic bird mating calls which I heard are replicated in the synth chirps and tonal aspects of this track. Ultimately though, I signed the song because of the unique character Kiwi has created sonically. Character within electronic music is usually hard to find, but Kiwi has achieved this effortlessly.”

'Kerberos' is a hypnotic and driving cut, one that progresses and builds with precision and underlying menace. Its melodies intertwine from the first beat and it couldn't sum up the Systematic ethos better.

<p>Shanie Miotto drops her first-ever release straight from Montreal to the Tronic camp and the edit from label boos Christian Smith and usual suspect/collaborator Wehbba is up first. Pulling the gears back on this one, we get treated to subliminal chords and almost-epic progressions, while the momentum is fuelled by arpeggiated synths. The Macromism mix toughens things up a bit with a busy rhythm section and heavy use of lush pads, while using parts of the synths for extra class. Closing up, Matt Sassari stays true to his shadowy sound and brings in pitched-down vocals, cavernous effects and bubbling sub bass.</p>

Foremost international techno outlet Drumcode is delighted to announce the release of its next full-length album, ‘Satellite’, by enduring Italian techno talent Sam Paganini.

Though he has been active since the mid nineties, recent years have been hugely successful for Sam, with searing techno EPs coming on revered labels such as Riche Hawtin’s Plus8, Sven Vath’s Cocoon and of course, Adam Beyer’s Drumcode. In his time he has been responsible for underground hits like ‘Zoe’, ‘Polyester’ and ‘Fire In My Arms’, all of which demonstrate his dynamic understanding of sexy, dark and hypnotic techno grooves and at the same time have earned him plenty of great Beatport chart positions as well as respect from the best in the game.

Incredibly, ‘Satellite’ is Sam’s first full-length album. Informed by his DJ gigs at legendary places like Berghain in Berlin and Cielo in New York, the album starts with a dystopian bit of sonic scene setting, as if a space ship is charging up ready to take off.

From there it’s a case of getting straight down to business. ‘Another Chance’ is a spacey bit of cantering techno and ‘White’ is rooted in devastating kick drums and is riddled with serrated synth lines that build lots of great techno pressure. ‘Down’ is an undulating bit of funky techno complete with choice vocal flourishes and tracks like ‘Lotus’ are prime offerings from the deeper end of the scale.

No two tracks sound the same on Satellite: Sam is always teasing out a new bit of texture, nailing a slightly different vibe or exploring different amounts of light and dark throughout the course of this most excellent album. This is evidenced by diverse cuts like ‘Dusty’, ‘Toxic’ and ‘Rave’.

Despite ‘Satellite’ being Sam’s debut album, it showcases his seductive style in all its glory across 12 fantastic tracks that will leave you begging for more.
