Soulful alt-rock entity forging psychedelia &post-punk from dark roads travelled.

Every band has a different story. For some the act of making it to the stage is a difficult almost impossible gestation. For others it’s remarkably problem free. 

Noisemaker’s Guild starts with two friends. Singer Lee Heir of Prime and Guitarist Jez Sullivan formerly of Nottingham guitar messiahs Heroes of Switzerland. Sullivan wanted to step back from the sonic density of his previous band and expressed a desire to write simpler more plaintive songs, leaving more space in the music. But still having the escapist aesthetic he loves. 

After some formative writing sessions. Covid took hold. Then in the post Covid landscape with former bands put to bed. It felt time to get in a room and make some noise, bring in others and turn two songs into a band. 

Enter Kikey Kumar, an exceptionally musical drummer who loves to play to the song.  The newly minted four piece seemed to be able to pull music out of the air. Through lengthy and expansive jam sessions. 

A handful of gigs has followed, with the band gaining confidence and audience with each performance. Then then it was time for another change. The boys solidified their lineup with the addition of bassist Kevin Munson. Musically the ‘Guild can turn on a dime infusing Post Punk, Dub, Blues & Rock influences infused with icy atmospherics. This concoction has references to the past, but is a new exciting and accessible hybrid. 

With 2024 approaching. Noisemaker’s Guild will release several singles in the coming year. These will include video collaborations with a local filmmaker and a short Nothern UK tour in February. Now is the time to join the guild.
