Les Invocations aux Anges et aux Oiseaux
Although direct connections between angels and birds may seem uncertain or questionable, here they are united on both an acoustic and philosophical level. Beyond shared sonic qualities, both works stem from a sustained interest in the phenomenon of communication in the broadest sense—continuing Vlad Dobrovolskyi’s previous explorations of diverse relationships between music, language, and environmental sounds. As these pieces demonstrate, this includes a wide range of human and non- human sonic expressions, selected both for their intrinsic uniqueness and for their physiological impact on the listener. 
Clearly, these compositions engage specific opposites and dichotomies— such as microcosm-macrocosm, natural-supernatural—yet more importantly, they focus on human attempts to comprehend our place within a universe that does not belong to us, and on the desire to reach out to the alien—even when this "otherness" speaks to us from realms entirely beyond our imagination and comprehension.

Recently, Vlad Dobrovolski has focused on the ideas of illusory and elusive reality. He explores the illusory nature of the material and the unconscious, as well as other controversial aspects of human existence. Vlad is fascinated by the subtle textures and intricacies of sounds, especially very quiet phenomena.
The artist develops author's methods of field recordings in order to record the phenomena of the surrounding sound from different places of the planet.
One of the main directions of Dobrovolski's work is the study of sound illusions. He is interested in how sound can evoke certain states and perceptions, even if they are not inherent in this reality. Vlad is looking for ways to use sound to create new emotional experiences for listeners.
