The Inward Turn is a necessary stillness – like hibernation, a state of submersion
into oneself where the boundaries between subjectivity and the external world blur.
In this pause, inner conflicts surface and unravel, making space for resolution and
renewal.
Endless mist,
It seeps, infiltrates,
settles in the bones – black sky thinking
The country has forgotten sunlight
Nine days wrapped in a blanket of grey fog
I remember that
Glaciers hold their breath,
air locked for centuries, for eons
The land folds into itself – 
hills as flanks, flatness resting,
a body waiting, braced for return

Scrying the Landscape w. Elina Tapio, Hannah Pezzack [08.02.25]

Sound collages depicting music, short fiction & spoken word – a playful attempt to theme, soundtrack and rethink particular topics on the intersection of identity, nature and modern environment. Conceived as a soundtrack or radio play, each episode is accompanied by an exploration of literary texts, photography or places from personal memories. Alex Tackenberg operates at various interfaces, dealing with artistic themes as well as the context of club music. He collaborates with fellow artists on projects between language and music, regularly organises musical nights at the Salon des Amateurs and together with Henning Ryssy, curates the Echo Libero label, which will be releasing its first album in the near future.

The Bangkok & Tokyo-based artist, known for his post-industrial, uncanny soundscapes, now delves deeper into the elemental forces of nature and existence with each episode symbolizing a distinct layer of reality: earth, water, fire, wind, and void.

Philipp Otterbach is a German artist, DJ, and electronic music producer known for his experimental and atmospheric approach to sound.
His musical journey began in the underground scene of Düsseldorf, where he became involved with the influential club Salon des Amateurs—a space recognized for its avant-garde take on club music. It was there that Otterbach developed his distinct style, one that prioritizes emotional storytelling over conventional dancefloor functionality.
His productions often feature analog synths, field recordings, guitars, primal percussion, and ambient effects, forming dense and cinematic sound collages. Listening to his work feels like entering a sonic dreamscape—rich in mood, memory, and quiet tension. There's a strong narrative quality to his music, as if each track were part of an imaginary film score.

This episode feels like traversing through all stages of sleep, from vivid and almost visceral memories of holidays in a rainy tent, walks through gigantic forests and dewy fields in a valley filled with morning mist, to deep transformative loops of thoughts, dark shifting feelings and desires close but out of grasp. All to wake up to soft voices, bird shrieks perhaps on a beach.
