Mind at Large compiled by Noema / Part II

In 1954, Aldous Huxley introduced the concept of „Mind at Large“ to help interpret psychedelic experiences. According to this concept, the human mind filters reality under normal circumstances while psychedelic drugs remove the filter, exposing the user to a Mind at Large. 

In 2021, our label boss Noema selected 15 tracks ranging from Downbeat to uptempo House Music, to help you opening these Doors of Perception.

In the second double-single, you meet Serpoosh & Noema with The Oddness at the doorstep.

In „Observance“ The Oddness creates a unique blend of different styles including late-80s Disco vibes, modern Downbeat, and middle-eastern synth Pop. Watch out for the disco synth-strings and cheeky marimba rhythms! Together with those heavy beats, hypnotic vocals, and driving basslines, this tune is a guarantee for serious dancefloor action.

We are in a new era, a time that many say has come to connect with the sacred feminine energy and sow the seed of healing to the wounded masculine energies. It is time to reconnect with the mother's energy and ancestral wisdom, leave our fears behind and wake up all together.

In 'Cantos a la Madre' (Chants to the Mother) each artist presents an interpretation of the concept of 'mother' in their own 'chant', forming a multilingual compilation that investigates the development of a new electronic music in harmony with the lyrical tradition of different cultures. It includes songs in the native languages of South America such as Quechua, bits of Mapudungun, and interesting musical creations in German, Ukrainian, Hebrew, as well as many in Spanish, English, and more.

With a large feminine presence plus the invitation to work in a mixed way between women and men, the album is an attempt to take electronic music one step further, highlighting the use of the human voice and, as well, reflecting on this broad and wonderful concept of ¨the mother¨, a concept that is transversal to all living beings on this planet.

We invite the public to listen and collaborate with this project with the intention that any help, whether in donations or simply by sharing this album (that's free!), is in itself a little but important seed for the rebirth of this art and part of its community, plus all donations on Bandcamp will go directly to the artists, heavily affected by the closure of all live shows for a long time.

We hope you enjoy this release with touches of folktronica, downtempo, house, and experimental, created with endless love as a musical jewel to delight not only the ears but also the heart and soul. ✨

Estamos en una nueva era, momento que muchos dicen ha llegado para conectarnos con la sagrada energía femenina y sembrar la semilla de curación a las energías masculinas heridas. Es hora de reconectarse con la energía madre y la sabiduría ancestral, dejar atrás los miedos y despertar en conjunto.

En ¨Cantos a la madre¨ cada artista presenta una visión del concepto de ¨madre¨ en su propio ¨canto¨, formando una compilación multilingüe que investiga el desarrollo de una nueva música electrónica, en armonía con la tradición lírica de diferentes culturas. Se incluyen canciones en lengua nativa de Sudamérica como el Quechua y experimentos musicales más inusuales en Alemán, Ukraniano, Hebreo, como también muchas en Español, Inglés y más.

Con una numerosa presencia femenina más la invitación a trabajar de forma mixta entre mujeres y hombres, el disco es un intento de llevar la música electrónica un peldaño más allá, rescatando el uso de la voz humana y a su vez, reflexionar sobre este amplio y maravilloso concepto que es la madre, concepto transversal a todos los seres vivos de este planeta.
Invitamos al público a escuchar y colaborar con este proyecto con la intención de que toda ayuda ya sea en donaciones o simplemente en compartir este álbum (que es gratuito!), es en sí una pequeña pero importante semilla para el renacer de este arte y parte de su comunidad. But we're not too keen on birthdays ourselves, we rather celebrate someone else for a change.

Darkness and light, safety and fright in the form of sound — slow, not so slow, not so fast — it was about time to broaden your horizon a little more, don't you think? Beware of the basslines, and let those distorted vocals lead you into complete disarray, before the sun is rising again. 

A mysterious 4-track EP, accompanied by 3 lovely and wildly intoxicating remixes. Mexican trip advisor Isaac Soto and Voll Schön's Etcha, each came up with a completely different interpretation "Goldstück", while Daensen and Danger Dave make their first appearance as DAENGER and have a go at "Astronauten & Fliegen". 

Better start collecting fire wood.

The Hamburg music artist and Deejay Manski succeed with his EP 'Transcendent' a happy litter - out of the commonplace of the electronic music world. Well tempered, polyphonic, spherical and with clear accents of Classical and Ethno.

Manski presents for about 15 minutes a mysterious world that inspires the deep sense through dancing. In three floating episodes the listener trots over three different ones, vast dream landscapes. Especially the fundamental and shapely sonance on dynamically changing tempi allows wonderful flights of fancy here in the solo style of classical instruments. The message of Manski is clear:
He is interested in creating the spectrum of the electronic music with his very own style and to use this with classical and analog musical instruments.'

INKAA fell in Love with electronic music back in the good old Bar 25. She started Djing back in 2015 and found her family with the legendary Techno Türken crew. We heard her Garbisz set first year and invited her to play at Beate Uwe in Mai. One thing let to another and now we are honoured to release her first EP and this beautiful remix by the talented Guateamalian Artist @Arteriam. We will celebrate at Crack Bellmer, tonight on the 14th of August 2019, so if you are in Berlin, come and join us ;)
