After a long week, many energy draining things,,, I manage to cook up this soft relaxation piece.... still in the lullaby spectrum.   Not my best work,,, but I like to keep up with the "one piece a week" goal.

Mp - A Soft Whisper - Lullaby Nr. 3

Hello,   :-)

This composition is based on the following idea : it's a wonderful garden, in the middle of a deep forest and surrounded by a small but solid stone wall, fairly austere. 
One enters quickly by an old wrought iron gate and once inside, one lets oneself be carried away by the wonderful species of flora surrounding where every flower and plant exhibits at the visitor it's own color ...

Departure From The Nordic Wastelands

Lovely

This is the first song of a cycle I´m going to work on next,,,  I did nine songs last night and when I´m in the mood I´ll try to make some more, probably tonight.   Today I then worked the first song and made sheet music of it (link here below if you´d like to play or follow).

I will do this with each of the songs and hopefully I´ll make sheet music of every song from now on. Thats the goal at least. (at least the songs I deem worthy :)).

So the sun is shining today finally after two months of rain, and I really should go out.  The picture is from north of Iceland, by Langavatn and thats the midnigh sun shining through the fog.

Reflection No.1

Track number two, it´s in similar style as no. 1, but I had to do some more composing on this improv. when writing up the sheet music. In the end I kind of like it.

The idea was that they should all be kind of alike, these reflections, thats why I started most of them the same night,,, (nine got started that night so stay tuned :)

This track has been available on my soundcloud for nearly a year as a free download, but it seemed fitting to have it here since its big brother is slated to be on my second album. Stay tuned for that!

The project continues, "improv to sheet music" this one took some more work although the original improv is the main thing. While writing it up it became more of a piano piece, and it took some time to do.  Hope you like the result

Reflection No. 3

Colors

This fourth one was quite straight forward, maybe my work flow is faster also.  The improv, from a week ago was only partial so only the first minute or so is the improv,,, the rest is you can say composed.

It´s all based on a small motive that is constant through the whole piece, kind of traditional element, basic theme.

Reflection No. 4

Number 5...  this one is simple but maybe has some very nice elements,,,  I´m quite suprised how nicely it sounds and how it became a soft nice piece from the improv from two weeks ago.

the photo is from a deserted house called Hringver, close to my family´s farm in the north of Iceland,,, a place that is slowly becoming a ruin and noone takes care of,,, a place I would really like to buy and do something with but unfortunately the owners don´t care about money or the place itself either :(


Reflection No. 5

Number six,,,    this one was fairly straight forward from the improv....   for those who just tuned in,, I´m writing up on sheet improvs I did one lazy saturday night two weeks ago,,, and a few others also from a couple of days later.  The six I have now done under Reflections  are all from the same night.

Sorry I´m spamming these out,, but it helps my workflow,,,  the goal is to do 12 and then stop.  and probably record them on a real piano or make orchestral versions.. 

This one I personally like,,,  it is what I feel inside,, and I really like playing it...

I am looking for any kind of electronic, ambient, ethnik, duduk, grooves or whatever gives us the chills.... no lyrics, no vocals this time :)

First reason to join into this collab should be fun and passion for music and no guarantee that the track will make it on the album but if it makes it, we will share 50/50 in case the track will generate more than 100 € a year (which is hard enough :). Full credit is understood...
