OMEN Recordings welcomes a new artist for their 17th release. Since the last few months, AAHAN has been storming the world techno scene with his unique style. The Canadian producer contributes two excellent driving tracks, featuring a hard-hitting masterpiece remix by long time running UK techno champ, PERC, plus another rendition by our very own AXKAN.

We’ll Rave Again - Pushing forward at a tempo that will get you sweatin’, mixed with rolling hi-hats and catchy leads, this will be a favorite to get everyone back on the dancefloor, again.

Crossing The Rubicon - A river of flowing melodies with hard underlining kicks that pulse makes this track sound big and dancers to lose themselves. There’s no turning back.

We’ll Rave Again (Perc Remix)- Storming out of the gates faster than anyone is this rager of a remix. When the hi-hats start to enter you know you’re about to be hit hard with even more. This piece promises to be a dancefloor peak time favorite.

We’ll Rave Again (AXKAN Remix) - Starting with voices from the outerworld and delivering heavy rounded kicks is this beast of a mash-up. Analog noise and crunch take the spotlight.

ASEC is back on his self-titled imprint with five mesmerising techno cuts featuring remixes from PoleGroup’s Kwartz and Soma’s Temudo.
ASEC is a Berlin-based artist and label project centred around raw, yet hypnotic dancefloor-oriented electronic music. To Berlin via Manchester, ASEC’s productions focus on tension and release with tracks that build momentum and intensity. As a Producer, Live Act and DJ, ASEC delivers his driving and expansive electronic music vision, consisting of dark textures, idiosyncratic melodies and dynamic drum sounds. With releases exclusively on his label, ASEC’s tracks have acquired support from household names like Marcel Dettmann, Slam, Henning Baer and SNTS resulting in a live show debut at Tresor in 2020.
‘Small Collisions’ kicks off with elastic synths shimmering off the resounding kicks and crunchy modulations before ‘High Tool’ maneuverers between hypnotic atmospheres and dark, ominous textures balanced with ghostly pads and thudding percussion with emphatic frequencies. Up next, Looping transcendental rhythms, gloopy fx and entrancing leads peppered with undulating minimalism takes focus in the ‘F Brexit’.
Madrid-based artist and PoleGroup, Mord, Semantica and Warm Up affiliate Kwartz delivers a pounding remix of ‘Small Collisions’ as the carnivorous percussion bounces with the raw oscillations, fizzing, industrial components and dramatic machine sonics. Temudo is part of a new generation of techno artists with releases on Soma, Modularz, Clergy, Synewave and more, rounds off in exquisite style with a swinging interpretation of ‘High Tool’ fusing ripping rhythms, frazzled soundscapes and penetrating textures.

ASEC ‘ASEC004’ is out on ASEC on 2nd April 2021 (Vinyl) and 14th May 2021 (Digital).

CRUDE Premiere: Dwysedd - Pale Blue Dot [DREPT]

Music, heard at the right moment, in some way resembles a river weaving its own path, inexorably sweeping everything and everyone along with it, exercising a primordial force difficult to escape. The Weisse Elster, the river that makes its way through the big city of Leipzig, embodies a counterpart to the small Steinlach, which flows quietly and calmly through the little student town of Tübingen (the birthplace of the label of the same name), giving this community its unique charm. After Wice moved to Leipzig, the obvious route to take was to create a Steinlach sublabel that would capture the flair of the big city, yet at the same time remain true to the nature of the flowing water - whilst taking into account crucial parameters that define a big city and that render it so lovable in its very own way.

The first release on the freshly founded Label Weisse Elster features five techno tracks that do justice to PAs and dance floors of a subcultural and diverse city. Purpose-built as they are, they skillfully elude the common sense as well as any trend by adding a fresh, inspired touch. Inevitably and with great focus the music overcomes the distance between the speaker and the dancer. This accomplishment is made possible by Wice’s timeless and inescapable groove patterns that in different ways underpin every track on the EP. The five tracks incorporate varied aspects of a club night and can be seamlessly woven into the flows of any DJ. The goal here is to be ’expectedly-unexpected’ or ‘unexpectedly-expected’, to captivate the dancers, to gradually and naturally challenge their ears as well as their understanding of groove in a charming way, but without appearing pretentious. Long story short: Take a listen, Don't skip, and Enjoy.

DREPT, an independent record label founded in 2016 with the purpose of exhilarating the local techno scene in Istanbul, coming up with its second compilation album. The album will be in a digital format with 10 tracks composed of local and foreigner producers that are supporting the scene.


By bringing together producers that compose various sounds of techno music in their new album, DREPT is once again playing an important role in developing the techno scene locally and worldwide. The 10-track compilation is a mixture of dancefloor gunpowders with hard-hitting grooves, Full-on racing, Trance & Hardcore leaning techno spectacles which are effective DJ tools. In the VA you can hear the techno veteran Ganez The Terrible alongside with DREPT residents Nekro TFFV, Gräfin, Dwysedd, and emerging artists of the scene such as Verschwender, Vixen, Grace Dahl, Ket Robinson, Joon Kwak, Amour Noir.

The second part of 2020’s ‘Converge - Part I’, a body of music which saw enthusiastic responses from the likes of Surgeon, Lauren Flax, DJ Bone, Anthony Parasole and Jus-Ed to name just a few, sees the Berlin-based DJ/Producer and dancer generously expand on and refine his slick vision of techno on one of electronic music’s key labels.

By encompassing warm and soulful textures within club focussed grooves, Hester continues to explore the far reaches of both the musical cues picked up from his years as a dancer and formative time spent in the Midwest US, connecting influences from Chicago, Minneapolis, and Detroit.

Stretched across a double LP, the album opens with the spacious and icy ‘Stealth’ followed by the machine communications of ‘Artificial Intelligence’. The B-side sees a whirlwind of the synthetic in ‘Instant’ before ‘Contact’ swiftly picks up the pace with it’s warbling pads and slippery percussion.

On the second disc, ‘Circadian Slip’, custom-built for dancefloor pandemonium, continues with off-kilter leads and vocal snippets before ‘Shadows’ brings eerie syncopation to the proceedings. In the final stretch, ‘Silver’ maintains steady energy into the twilight hours, and the gorgeous ‘Wonder’ closes out the LP beautifully, providing a soft landing to an exceptional journey through Hester’s sound.
