"Three years ago, Harley & myself met in his bed room studio for the very first time. This track was actually an idea from that very session.

Today we find ourselves back at home, together, after many months on the road from our various projects. 
Our core focus to finalise our forthcoming Singles, it feels symbolic that three years on we find ourselves coming full circle to finish this same song we started that very first day.

We reflect on how much has changed & how much is still the same. From my 9-5 desk job to now writing music & DJing around the globe. From his bed room ambitions to being the forefront of dance music subculture. We're still two young dudes, that love the ocean, hanging with our friends in the city we've grown up in & hunting for things that inspire us.

This song is for all you lovely people that have made our dream a reality. 
Following us, supporting us, buying tickets to our shows & most importantly your thirst for something a little different"

ZES manoeuvres between atmospheric futuristic beats, forward thinking sounds and innovative compositions built to last. With Zane Lowe pedestalling the first glimpse into Bensley’s diverse soundscape, ‘Fandango’ was a precursor for this forthcoming debut. ‘Next Generation’ is a bold move; with drum & bass being a genre which has certainly stood the test of time, newcomers have incredibly big shoes to fill. However, Bensley incorporates an innovative and incredibly intricate set of production skills to hold a title of his own.

But what can you expect from an artist who was signed after sending a single demo to revered label head Andy C. That’s despite having no previous releases or having any other music available to stream online. He was somewhat of a mystery.
‘Fandango’ was that track. And it was premiered as a world exclusive on leading tastemaker Radio1, which followed with support from the likes of Mistajam on 1xtra, as well as DJs on both Kiss and XFM.

Already demonstrating his widespread appeal with just one track, his air of mystery is now about to be broken. He’s definitely an anomaly; being only nineteen and having impressed so many people.

‘Next Generation’ is a 10-track journey through an impressively diverse soundscape. Whether it’s half-time breakdowns or the incorporation if cross genre-pollination it shows an astounding ability which will not go unrecognised.
From the opening bars of ‘Wildfire’, to the softly spoken pads and atmospheric note arpeggios of ‘Rain Dance’, then wrapped up by aptly named closing track ‘Aftermath’, there’s no denying Bensley’s masterful artistry.

Title-track ‘Next Generation’ leads you by the hand with snippets of humanistic sample, flowing in and out of its construct. It’s built upon by striking note progressions, a relaying of patterns which chop and change the mix. Carefully placed subs add impact, with emphasis given on each break, carrying the track forward down a steep drop with each slab of bass.

Drawing together a dizzying and fresh array of new sounds, this album indicates why Bensley is a forerunner within the new generation of music comers. Its representative of the fast paced technological setting of music production he grew up around; it also proves that Bensley is able to tap into dimensions which are often unheard of in other bodies of work.

Enbe & Reepz - Found My Path (Prod. By Reepz)

New Houndstooth recruit Guy Andrews debuts on the label with his first album, 'Our Spaces'. Despite his youth, Andrews has already had previous releases on the likes of Hotflush and Hemlock. However, his latest offering sees him taking a completely new creative direction, stepping away from the constraints of dance music and delving into the rich world of post-rock/electronica cross-over.

Here we premiere 'Decipher', track 10 from the new album. The piece opens with guitar delays and fuzzy distortions, though it isn't long until breathless synth melodies hover above and the bass drum kicks in. Following a rather epic intro things subside momentarily, before swiftly ascending into a four-to-the-floor foray of hats, hisses and blissful synth loops.

CTXCast: Elias & Mystic State - Shanty EP Promo Mix

The Bachelors are back with the first installment of the remix series of their latest album, The Space Between. BoS teamed up with some of their favorite producers in the scene to get their unique take on the tracks.

Dropping straight into one of the album’s standout tracks ­ ‘Satisfy’ ­ ​Bcee & Villem deliver an absolute banger of a tune to start things off. The shimmering vibe of the original kicks off the opening moments, building and building before dropping into a heavyweight bass­fueled roller that is destined to set floors moving.

Up next we turned over the halftime groover ­ ‘Kanto’ ­ to the impeccable production skills of ​Quadrant ​who flipped it into a heavy dancefloor DnB smasher! The track starts with an ethereal reverb­drenched vibe before switching gears into a serious growling bass stepper, with atmospheric piano and pads floating over the top.
Last but not least we hand the reins of the album’s title track – ‘The Space Between’ ­ to the deep and atmospheric wizardry of ​Method One​. An epic sounding intro delves into a chopped up halftime stepper, full of intricate breaks and lush pads before introducing an elegantly simple but effective hook that wraps up the EP.
