“Message of Heaven” continues the story where Final Days left off.
Amid the growing turmoil of the world, a final divine message breaks through — faint, fractured, and fading. Not a trumpet blast, not a revelation of glory… but a whisper. A warning. A trembling in the veil between worlds.
To everyone else, it feels like nothing more than a fleeting moment of peace or intuition.
But to you — the protagonist — it carries weight.
You hear tones hidden beneath the silence.
You feel the heavens straining, as if something is blocking the message from reaching its destination.
The last voice of Heaven is weakened, distorted, almost… intercepted.
This track marks the last known communication from the divine before Heaven goes silent.
And you’re the only one who truly heard it.
🎧 Sound & Style
Musically, “Message of Heaven” blends:
ethereal, glowing ambience
solemn, hymn-like vocal phrases
subtle tension beneath the surface
reverberated melodic motifs that feel like a distant signal
gradual escalation that suggests something is wrong
The song feels like standing in a windswept field beneath a sky that’s trying to speak — but losing its strength.

📘 Album Context
Track 2 deepens the mystery:
The divine message is incomplete. It carries distress. It weakens mid-transmission.
This is the moment the protagonist first becomes aware of a deeper spiritual distortion —
a disruption that foreshadows the hidden cosmic shift engineered by the Adversary.
Soon, Heaven will fall silent…
And the world will have no idea why.

I’ve been a big fan of Periphery since the inception of the band, and I’ve certainly been influenced by them at times in my own work as well. A few years ago I ended up at a group dinner in Silver Lake with Matt Halpern as he was in town playing drums with Mick Gordon, the composer of the Doom soundtrack (he is also incredible, I might add). Over the course of a couple drinks and some buffalo cauliflower, dinner serendipitously turned into having access to the multitracks of their most recent album, Periphery III, as well as forging some new friendships that I’m very grateful for. Ultimately, they suggested I take on Lune, which was one one of the more overtly melodic tracks of the album, and a little while later this is what came out. Truthfully, it’s one of the best remixes I think I’ve done in a very long and I’m very pleased to be able to share it with you finally. They’re all such incredibly talented musicians that it was very difficult not to be inspired by what they composed, and it’s an honor to have been able to put my stamp on it.

A huge Thank You is owed to Matt, Misha, Mark, Jake and Spencer for allowing me to feed Lune through the blender. I’m indebted to your generosity and musicality.
