Established in 2012, Mutant League is an independent record label with a catalog of artists that music supervisors have disparagingly referred to as “up-tempo angsty-millennial”.

Mutant League was founded in Chicago, IL by current owner and CEO Nate Steinheimer, and has released albums for groups such as: Seaway, As It Is, Belmont, Lucky Boys Confusion, The Movielife, Home Grown, and many others.

Formed in December 2011.

Born in Rouen, Normandy, Quentin began playing guitar at the age of 9. As a teenager, his musical influences were divided between those of his parents
(Elton John, Michel Berger, Johnny Hallyday, Jean-Jacques Goldman) and his own
(Bob Marley, Alpha Blondie, Gladiators, Pierpoljak, Manu Chao, Ben Harper,
Radiohead).

At university, Quentin discovered Coldplay and REM, a turning point that gave him
the desire to sing and write his own songs. During this period, he followed his
friend Phildark to Parisian parties and discovered melodic tech house.

At 24, he moved to Melbourne, Australia. This marked the beginning of electronic music mixtapes under the name Misterkitin, but above all, the creation of
his first compositions. This Australian adventure lasted five years, from which
his first French songs were born. 

In 2019, Quentin decided to combine acoustic and electronic music. This is
where the Quentin Slake project was born, with the first single, Twilight. In 2024, his first album, Mataoka, was released.

In 2008, they were able to break into the post-hardcore scene with the release of the EP Your Face Down Now. Thanks to their new album, the band sang in Germany, England, France, USA and Japan. The EP contains six songs and an acoustic bonustrack for Japan, one of which ("Call Me Sick Boy") was re-recorded for Hopes Die Last's debut album.

In August 2009, the band released the first full-length album, called Six Years Home, the record contains ten songs. One music video for Some Like it Cold was released in promotion of the album in November, the second video was Johnny's Light Sucks, released in October 2011.

In January 2010, the band leaves for the UK tour with Attack Attack!, then proceed with further dates in Europe, East Europe and Russia. 
In 2010, the band was in a Tour for Italy and other countries. The cover of the Katy Perry's song, Firework was released in March 3, 2011, on MySpace. The second Hopes Die Last's album contains this song.

On February 14, 2012 the band released the second album “Trust No One” With the singles Unleash Hell and Never Trust the Hazel Eyed and Keep Your Hands Off (feat.NEKSO) released on Jan/Feb 2012.
