Hailing from Saint Brieuc, France, Estuary Tapes kicks off its story by bringing to life a bold eleven-track compilation. On board: Tabensi, Théo Muller, and Transe Ar Gwez, the guides of the journey, plus Los Pashminas, A-Tweed (SXDNS222), Oltrefuturo, Kendu Bari, Shjva, XCI, Isabel Del Bosco, and Orphic – a true constellation of young and talented producers from various corners of this unfair and doomed little planet of ours who spared no efforts to bring the best of their games for the compilation.

From dusk till dawn, from darkness to light, the release encompasses many a genre and aims nothing but to please the fans of high-quality underground electronic music out there.

Premiered here, the stunning closing theme of the VA comes from the mastermind of the creative Portuguese virtuoso XCI. Named after the Greek god of fire, who is best known for defying his Olympian counterparts by stealing fire from them and giving it to humanity in the form of technology, knowledge, and more generally civilization, “Prometheus” comes packed with a magnificent cosmic and starry aura, as if its mesmerising synth layers were paying a tribute to the beautiful sky of Athens in 3000 BCE.

After creating a safe space to get down since 2012 through a great selection of happy music from disco to electro, italo, funk, boogie blended into dynamic and genre defying sets, people at Cipria are ready to enjoy their show on @FrittoFM. 
As the Italian female crew which is also a creative hub, a club night and a community founded by @Alice_Oceanicmood, has just begun the 12th Season of parties, with an whole she/ her line-up, it’s doing the very same on the Radio Show, hosting djettes once a month. 
Episode 009 features @Nntte, a dj and selector based in Rome, who has a great passion for the Afro, Black, and Soul sound world. She began her first sets in 2015 with a purely Jamaican sound. In 2016, she started working at one of Rome's biggest record stores, Radiation Records, where her knowledge in the musical field has grown exponentially. Now, her sets have a soul and R&B base, enriched by different genres such as funk, jazz, nu-funk, disco, and more chill sounds of Latin and Brazilian origin.

Taste Rec. keeps the pressure high with an EP that unleash pulsating beats and groovy bass lines merged perfectly with soulful melodies, tribal percussions and a special Kora solo recorded live.

@acid-youth is a project started in 2016 by Davide Nicosia, an electronic music producer based in Bologna.
Under the influence of Chicago House, Krautrock and EBM, Acid Youth is a blend of troubled basslines, guitars, modular freakness, frozen pads, analogic distortions and overdriven drum machines.
After the previous releases on MFZ Records and Land of Dance Records, Acid Youth comes to Elephant Gait with "My Acid", a 4 tracks EP that is a psychedelic clash between acid and space rock. Saturated drum machine, 303, organ and guitar are the main elements of these tracks.
"Polyptych" pays tribute to motoric drum rhythms; "My Acid" and its tense west-coast synth line drive you in a dark territory; "Regrets" is a flux of sounds with a 303 bassline as a mantra; "Despite" and its major scale close the EP and resolve the tension.

Aditya Permana is a Jakarta based musician and a DJ, who has spent his adult years following his passion for analog drums and synths.

Aditya is a co founder of Dekadenz, a regular showcase of new wave-inspired electronic club music. Known for pushing a club night that offers more mature and challenging music, Dekadenz evolved into a record label, on which Aditya has a few releases of his own. The label also hosts producers in the region and internationally who are known for bringing experimental sounds into a club.

Back in the distant year of 2014, while I was still studying at university in Prague, my friends and I were obsessed with indie ski & snowboard movies. At that time, The Glitch Mob’s music was very popular among the ski/snowboard community. That year, YouTube’s “suggested” algorithm introduced me to an LA-based artist named Yaarrohs, who was often a vocalist on Glitch Mob’s productions. Ever since hearing her spellbinding voice on the track “Amber,” I’ve envisioned sampling it in my music.

Back in 2014, I had no idea I would ever become a music producer, but it always seemed like a creative possibility in the back of my mind. Fast forward 9 years, and I'm lucky to be able to write my own music and pay tribute to this amazing artist and her captivating voice. Thus, the track “Goliath” was born on a hot July night in the summer of 2023, sampling the voice of Yaarrohs from her “Flesh & Blood” EP (2014).

For this occasion, I've also invited two talented producer friends from the Prague scene - Rico Casazza and Vision of 1994. Their task was to write their own interpretations of “Goliath” that utilise the sampled vocals in creative ways. As expected, both of these talented music heads delivered absolutely mesmerising remixes, showcasing their distinct styles and production prowess. Give it a listen to see for yourself.
