Ibiza-based Fabrizio Marra is an established DJ & producer who collides elements of melodic house, tech house and techno into his edgy grooves on top labels from Paul’s Boutique to Natura Viva. He’s previously worked with big outlets such as Ibiza Global Radio and shared the console with legends like Frankie Knuckles and David Morales at some of the scene’s biggest venues.

On his latest drop, Marra heads to Junior Jack’s Adesso Music label for ‘In The Hands Of Faith’, backed by a mesmerising remix courtesy of Brazil’s Bez, who brings together organic and Afro-infused sounds on labels such as Cafe De Anatolia.

‘In The Hands Of Faith’ is a deep, rippling cut made for backroom sweat-a-thons, combining slick drum programming, spacey synth work and ominous spoken word vocals, while Bez’s remix offers up a darker take where mellifluous synths toy with cavernous bass.

Catz'N Dogz underground outlet STEP is well known for giving space to some of the most eclectic artists to showcase their infinite talents. The label so far has released the likes of Baltra, DJ Steaw, Eduardo De La Calle, Analogue Roland Orchestra and Panthera Krause to name but a few and this summer is ready to drop yet another huge record, coming from usual suspect Das Komplex.

The Polish producer already figures amongst the artists to have given music to STEP but his music is also showing up on DJ Harvey's' Mercury Rising' compilation, Oficyna Transatlantyk,Mireia Records and has been played by the likes of the late great Andrew Weatherall, Axel Boman and many more. 'Miazsz' EP comprises of 5 groove-driven, relentless down tempo and dreamy cuts, showcasing the wide musical knowledge and the diversely inspired aesthetic of Das Komplex' sonic textures. The EP takes us on a journey through genres, from House to Disco, and never fails to leave its mark.

Music For Dreams are proud to present this special Record Store Day re-issue in collaboration with Fyraften Musik, who once again prove their expertise in digging up sonic pearls from the sands of time. This time, the re-issue treatment comes to the kosmik gypsy legend Aashid Himons and his eccentric venture of the Jah spirit into 80’s cyberpunk wastelands.
Aashid Himons (1942-2011) is one of those naturally radical pioneers who pop up here and there in music history. Perhaps best known today as the dreadlocked front man of the blu-reggae group Afrikan Dreamland, you can trace the wayward path of this scintillating musical innovator all the way from late 50’s doo-wop, to his 60’s r’n’b work as Little Archie (ironic since he stood over 2 meters tall), through the reggae fusions that made him an eternal cult figure and to all kinds of cosmic electronic excursions.
For over five decades, right until his death, he wrote in his own chapter in the book. Not one of great fame or success, but of unbroken personal vision,
deep spiritual conviction and extraordinary musical genius.
The two tracks here were originally released in 1984 under his solo moniker Aashid on the album Kosmik Gypsy. ‘The Gods & I’, a robotic, reggae-disco crossbreed, is on here both as it sounded originally and as remastered in Fyraften’s handicraft.
‘In A Figga Of Speech’ is an eccentric piece of jittery, weed-smoked electro. “Krystal leaks, ping pong brown, chariot of fire Zion- bound, one billion moon-beams all around, living on a brimstone in a figga of speech”
