Desert Trax is thrilled to bring fans a star-studded remix pack for ”Saraswati's Twerkaba,” the smash lead track from Desert Dwellers' Clear Path compilation, which was originally released in 2016 by Sofa Beats. The exotically innovative original from Amani Friend and Treavor Moontribe sees the Desert Dwellers blending their signature downtemple dub sounds with global club flavors. It was inspiration enough to draw in a wide range of remixers amped to take on the task. 

French guitarist and glitch sensation CloZee joined forces with LuSiD for an earthy, percussive take. Southern California bass legends David Starfire leaned more into the clubby side of the yoga twerk track but in wildly different directions. Mindex and Landswitcher both went dark and dangerous on their respective remixes, pulling heavily from the subsonic sampling and fearlessly pushing the track into the cavernous abyss. Patiently building from mild murmur to full on twisted roar, Nanosphere stretches Saraswati into a psy opus. Israeli sensation TRIBONE stripped the cut down all the way to its primal, midtempo stomp, and there is no doubt his take will turn dance floors loose with its relentless pulse.

Hurricane Harvey and Hurricane Irma have caused, to put it lightly, widespread
damage throughout numerous regions. Thousands of families have been
displaced, and unfortunately, the number is only growing as the wind and water
continue to take their tolls.
With the cost of repairing and aiding the affected areas rising every minute, help
is needed more than ever. MMXVAC has taken it upon themselves to help in the
best way they know how, compiling and releasing an EP of previously unreleased
tracks. Future bass, dubstep, bass house, and more are contained throughout
Proximity EP’s 16 tracks, satisfying tastes from all across the spectrum.
The collective will be donating 100% of proceeds through Houston Texan J.J.
Watt’s relief effort via YouCaring, with the hopes of donating as much money as
possible while also inspiring their fellow artists in the community to do the same
and create good music for a good cause.

The Clipping Paths series compiled by Dov1 continues with a version themed on all things influenced by Dub / Reggae / Island Vibes. The roster featured are some familiar Muti Music artists , along with some fresh faces for the future. The compilation kicks off in the 85BPM range and as the compilation progresses, moves it’s way down to deeper 70BPM Dubstep and softer vibes. We hope you feel a little bit of the dub, a little bit of the skank and bounce and then a good amount of soft and heady chill vibes.

The original Clipping Paths compilation in 2007 set a tone for many emerging sounds from Muti Music and featured ‘then’ new artists Ooah, Vibesquad, Audiovoid, Nanda, Timonkey, Slidecamp and Muti regulars like An-ten-nae and Dov1, needless to say it has been quoted by many as an influence and has proven to help define new sounds that have blown up in the years that followed.
