Purity Ring's "Shrines" is a sounding board of this passing Summer; perhaps more a Ouija board in fact. I've been listening with curious ears, and fell into a remix of Cartographist. I do hope you enjoy this terrible perversion of their lullingbyes into a more brooding and ominous clouding. Uping tempo.

EPTIC - MASTERMIND

J and I originally wrote "Ditar" in 2003 and "After the Disco" in 2004, so I guess that would mean this EP has been in the works for about 10 years.  Thing is, neither track could seem to find a home outside our DJ sets until last summer when Daniel de Graaf of Fiori (and Pink Stallone) heard "Ditar" on a drive through Jersey and offerd up a remix.  He brought a freshness to the track, with the help of <a href="https://www.facebook.com/julianpetersonmusic">Julian Peterson</a> on vocals, that we couldn't resist sharing with everyone.  The results here speak for themselves, so enjoy and let us know what you think.

Wunderkind Eptic has it all planned out – the upstart Belgian DJ returns on 6 May 6 with the release of his latest EP 'Mastermind'. The new EP will be released on powerhouse dubstep label Never Say Die Records and it features four filthy new tracks.

Since bursting onto the scene in 2011 Eptic (Michael Bella) has released three well-received EPs and has honed his skills through non-stop touring and by collaborating with and remixing established artists such as Habstrakt, SKisM, Excision and Datsik. He continues to play gigs around the world and will be touring Australia later this month.

'Mastermind' picks up where 'Like A Boss' left off (the 'Like A Boss' EP spent almost two months in the Top 10 of Beatport’s dubstep chart in 2012). The energetic first track 'Bust ‘em Out' (accompanied by an equally vibrant video) features a collaboration with Virus Syndicate. Dubstep stomper 'Mastermind' is classic Eptic and on the drum & bass 'Space Business' he branches out and shows his diversity. Lastly MRK1 turns up the heat on 'Bust ‘em Out' with his trap remix. The EP will be released worldwide on 6 May.

Stephan Jacobs has earned a reputation as one of electronic music’s most innovative and prolific producers, known for his blend of evocative soundscapes, driving rhythms, and bass-heavy foundations.
