Stephan Jacobs has earned a reputation as one of electronic music’s most innovative and prolific producers, known for his blend of evocative soundscapes, driving rhythms, and bass-heavy foundations. His attention to detail and melodic instincts distinguish his work, both in the studio and during high-energy live performances that captivate festival crowds and intimate audiences alike.

A pioneer of West Coast bass music, Stephan has played at iconic festivals like Coachella, Lightning in a Bottle, and Envision, and supported Pretty Lights on the Illumination tour. His production credits include a wide range of artists such as Benny Benassi, Showtek, Emancipator, and Griz.

Recently, Stephan’s focus has shifted to Bigger Than Us and BOSA, two projects rapidly gaining momentum. Bigger Than Us, a collaboration with acclaimed singer Marieme, blends dance music with immersive experiences, while BOSA offers a unique twist to world-inspired house and dance music. Both are at the forefront of Stephan's creative energy, with exciting new releases on the way.

Stephan has also been working with A-List artists such as A$AP Rocky, Brockhampton, Russ, Run The Jewles, 24kGolden, Mike Posner and more for over a decade, utilizing his wide skill set and ability to take on complex projects efficiently.

  The dj has no agenda of their own, they only presents what they feel is the  most relevant to the situation, and with that, has limitless freedom to create whatever soundscape the time and place calls for.  I really enjoy throwing down dancefloor beats glitch hop, dubstep, grime, house,

With such a mixed and wide variety of musical influence, there is often much diversity in DAFs style, ranging from Progressive to Tech to Techno and everything in-between. Preparing each set meticulously and tailoring his sound to each given environment. Always looking to further his knowledge of music, this becomes apparent within his creativity.  Recent years have hosted a series of successful releases on labels such as Elrow Music, Twisted Fusion, Faceless Recordings and Marshall Jefferson's new imprint, Freakin303, as well as remixing Stephan Bodzins Sungam.    2018 has started with the feeling of intensity you come to recognise from DAFs performances; a collaboration with Jadele forthcoming on Click Records (Amsterdam). A two track EP scheduled for release in February on Primitive Records (Brazil) and also the long anticipated Misconception EP'; a collaboration with Blackhill on Freakin303, featuring remixes from the mighty TouchTalk (Brazil) and close industry peers, Barber and Tom Finn.  With further track and remix requests in the pipeline, it's clear he is on the right path and things certainly look bright for the future.  DAF is founder and co-owner of his aforementioned party, B4, showcasing carefully selected artists and friends across the international House and Techno scene, at Londons Basing House. 2016 & 17 saw them complete twelve incredible parties topping off both years with successful NYE events.  With new material incoming from the studio and further European bookings, as well as Thailand scheduled, DAF continues to evolve and move forth into new territory¦
