As 2015 began with an extended weekend run of after parties followed by after-after parties, Saved Records kick off the New Year clearly still in the party mood.  New York legend Harry Romero is on hand to steer the ship for 2015’s inaugural release, taking us into a twisted, eerie soundscape that moves with drive and plenty of groove.

“Anafogue” is an intense, underground house track that walks down an unbeaten track. Built around a startlingly simple yet highly addictive bassline, the track wanders through a freaky atmosphere littered with strange FX, backwards-sounding melodies and jangling synths. Snapping drums and syncopating rhythms give the track a dancefloor momentum, shifting through the gears to inject energy after the drop-off.

David Herrero, who will release his debut album on Saved later this year, keeps the same sense of otherness that is so central to the original at the heart of his remix too. Adding a kind of chopped up and loop-heavy collage aesthetic in addition to a dubbier feel to the tune, the Spaniard takes “Anafogue” into a completely different yet equally intriguing dimension.

The super talented artists Juan Ddd and Celic again deliver a massive EP with three rocking dancefloor tracks. The EP is a combination of twisted tech house and dark techno tracks with a fat bass sound; just the way we fancy it for our label. Already tested on the dancefloor, we believe that these mixing tools should take their place amongst the big rooms. Just try it out!

Coyu and Ramiro Lopez are regular production partners, having released a number of tracks on Coyu’s own Suara in the past, as well as John Digweed’s esteemed Bedrock Records. This latest track on Drumcode further adds to their reputation as a force to be reckoned with. ‘Clap Your Hands’ allows the pair to display their talent for harder-edged techno. Pounding drums, metallic rattling, a tension-filled breakdown and the eponymous distorted vocal sample help to ensure the track fits in perfectly with Drumcode’s high-quality repertoire. Made with the dancefloor in mind, Coyu debuted ‘Clap Your Hands' during his set at Valencia’s Marenostrum Festival, where it received a spectacular reception.

Kicking it with names like Hessle Audio, Drumcode, Berghain and Fabric – Perc & Randomer are more than well versed in the scriptures of electronic music. In cahoots for their EP collaboration Igneous, the London-based maestros have spawned a three-track demon, combining Randomer’s ruthless 4x4 and Perc’s rambunctious fabrications.

From this latest sermon, we’ve cherry picked “Breezeblock” as our favourite – a molten hot foray into the twisted world of London bass. An underpinning cacophony of pneumatic percussion lies amidst schizophrenic nuances, catering perfectly to sweaty metal caverns. “Breezeblock” has all the tell-tale signs of a stomper.

Berlin-based DJ and producer Huerta makes his first appearance on the rising London imprint @threefingerzmusique with his ‘Am Ende’ EP, featuring the dreamy, delicate house cut ‘No Business Here’.

Following releases on esteemed labels such as Dirt Crew, Amadeus and Let's Play House, Huerta’s firmly established himself as a strong purveyor of carefully crafted productions. He’s become known for using organic textures to deliver rhythm focused material and his latest release covers the full spectrum of his sound.

‘No Business Here’ leads off with a deep and jazzy bassline laying the foundation for an intricate percussive arrangement to build as hypnotic fluttering piano licks carry the track to new heights. It’s the ideal summer tune for day party season and it could not be released at a more perfect time.
